The fact that robin friday only played Div 4 football you feel qualified to judge him the best reading player ever. He would not even get in the ground now never mind the team. First off, Robin Friday played in Div 4 with us, and then in Div 3 with us after we got promoted. He then went to Cardiff ...

Graham Poll is the best referee in this league. Howard Webb is the best referee in this league - by a country mile. Agreed! The fact that no-one notices his refereeing says it all. What do you think of Mark Clatenburg? Good. Quietly efficient. Another who likes to let the game flow and does not hav...

If (when!) we are safe, we might do no worse than try to 'bed-in' a few of our very promising academy players.

This may seem a bit curmudgeonly after all the 'friendly' posts but I believe that Mark Hughes grumbles too much about refereeing decisions which go against his team. Pedersen's tackle warranted a yellow - maybe even red - card last weekend.

Admittedly, this is on a slightly different tack but did anyone see the Sky Sprts interview with JM? I have to admit that, had I been in his position when asked about the Alan Parjudas situation, I would probably have reached for the thumbscrew but he was very gracious in his answers and called the ...

Ten years with one club (or even eight, for that matter) is unquestionable loyalty and meriting some recognition. Testimonials are no longer about provision for the future, more a gesture of thanks and respect. Bring it on!

Re: £4m vs £250m

Reading Abbey On that basis, we more than won the match!

If not for a dive and then a shit free kick that took two deflections, we would have taken a point.

Very proud tonight!

Lampard did sound more than a little embarrassed.

There is far too much nonsense talked about percentage possession. The stark fact is:GOALS: READING 1 WESTHAM NIL. It could have been 95% West Ham 5% Reading and West Ham wouls still have found it hard to penetrate. Apart from the brilliant Sidwell saving header, I did not see very much danger to Ro...

To be honest I thought Seol was fantastic in the first half but faded in the second half to a point where he failed to track back and double team Ronaldo with Murts after the 50th minute, this along with Murts injury led to Manure getting the goal. That said it was a fantastic performance from all ...
