Re: The Football League Thread 18/19

. Old Man Andrews, who goes from the Championship this season? This is a tough one as Rotherham and Wigan (two of my preseason relegation picks have had good starts. I would say it will be Rotherham, Bolton and Ipswich who will go . Ipswich will pay the price for thinking they can do better than Mi...

Re: On this day

As soon as the game was underway the lack of atmosphere was obvious. This of course wasn't helped by the lack of away support. You just have to respect those 4 Grimsby supporters for making the journey A timely reminder that the Southbank wasn't always a seething cauldron of noise. It could be a co...

Re: Clement

I will still stand by my demand that I have had in place ever since Clarke oxf*rd up: we must must must get in the monument that is Nigel Pearson. He's wasting away in Belgium and would definitely come to us and instill some discipline. Did he also previously work with Aluko at Hull...? Come on Joh...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Sutekh Two more embarrassing moments now officially live

Leeds away on 27th November is now full blown Sky coverage rather than just red button stuff, still 7.45pm
Sheffield U at home on 8th December is now 5.30pm

What with it being £45 and a midweek, can you even see us taking 200 up to this?!

Re: Gourlay

Empty boxes and lack of advertising and shirt sponsorship on the back all come down to him. Shirt sponsorship is down to carabao having a veto on other visible sponsors due to the contract as primary partners. Looks like the Thai's stiffed us on that one. I don’t think that’s true, I’m pretty sure ...

Re: Clement

I'd have 18 months of him. Might see Meyler do what he is actually capable of. We would also become Roy Keane's Reading and feature more regularly on Sky, albeit when playing away to Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday or Frank Lampard's Derby

Old Man Andrews
I think you are referring to Chris Mepham. Very highly regarded and not far away from a big move to a top level Championship side or lower end Premier League side. Already playing for Wales aged 20, top prospect.

He's good but the player I was referring to was Ezri Konsa

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Dean Smith in at Aston Villa. John Terry assistant manager. Think Brentford will be ok. With their business model I don't think it will matter too much who is in charge there, the wheels will keep on turning. Sort of like the Watford of the Championship, you could say? Do you think any of the Brent...

. Old Man Andrews, who goes from League 2 this season? Surely Morecambe have outstayed their welcome? Cambridge are looking very poor so far... Morecombe will. Macclesfield too. If they go down, their managers must go . Who do you think will go up? I think Forest Green and Executor Fc. I think it's...

Rui Faria 'rejects Villa'.

Does this open the door for Dean Smith?

Re: On this day

On this day in 1997 we drew 3-3 at home with Crewe. Carl Asaba on the scoresheet twice and an OG in our favour. Carl Asaba is very underrated. I know he was inconsistent but I rate him. Great game - we were 0-3 down in half an hour in the rain and -100 Crewe were running around on the terrace. Incr...

Wtf is this? Are you going to take a list of actions to Paul Clement and demand deals with them one by one?

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Anyone else attempt to watch Glenavon v Linfield last night? Bad enough quality football but Sky's picture was tragic and kept cutting out. I really do hate the international break. Nah I can't watch things like that, really awful quality. I have always thought it would be a good idea for the Leagu...

DOYLERSAROYALER Did we miss an opportunity with Steven Reid? When he left us the demise accelerated..hes left Palace and the same has occurred..

His impact behind the scenes may be greater than expected

Possible manager in the making..

I think there's definitely more than an argument for that being the case
