Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (a)

Not pretty, but still beautiful. A properly gutsy win with 12 players who left it all out there. Freely admit I had my doubts about Mbengue but he was (relatively) imperious at times in that second half. Easily Mola's best game for us so far, and WiFi ran himself into the ground forward and back whi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (a)

If there's ever a game for Hutchinson and Dean this is it. Will also need two up top or Smith will get even more lost by himself than he has been lately. Strangely optimistic about this one if we approach it right. But that's usually a bad sign.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

Knibbs seems to have been playing a different game to everyone else today. Totally out of touch with his teammates.

Knibbs and Smith on totally different wavelengths all afternoon. Need someone up top with him urgently.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

We're desperately short of ideas and don't seem to have a coherent plan of attack beyond getting the ball to Azeez/Mukairu and hoping it ends up on someone's boot/head in the box or they score a wondergoal. Our movement is crap forward and back and the less said about our defending the better. We've...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I find it shocking this interview shows Dai and Pang have been lying to us for months about trying to sell. Pretty much this. In the last 12 months, the club have said that they've been "discussing", "seeking", and "actively working towards" a sale, and yet now, if NH ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

At this point it couldn't be clearer Dai'll have no second thoughts about the club going under. He's not getting any money back from his investment, and he's willing to get fined tens of thousands of pounds repeatedly for not depositing what, for him, is a measly sum as per the EFL's instructions. I...

Re: I've lost count - Embargos, HMRC Payent defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Hadn't EN recently been getting much more involved with first team, and in particular match day, squads? Or did I dream someone linking that to our up turn in form in December? If he was then things really must be getting desperate and it'll be (even) more disruption for a squad that's already talki...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

We've played better than today and still lost so this feels like progress. While a fortnight til the next league game might feel like a handy break we've been poor coming back from time off every other time so far this season, and we really need to keep this momentum up and get revenge on Port Vale ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cheltenham Town (a)

Still at a loss to explain how bad our defending can be and, given how long it's been and how obvious the issues are, how nothing successive coaching teams have tried has had the slightest positive effect.

Re: Selles In

Abbey brain fart notwithstanding, that was probably one of our best performances so far this season. What I really liked was that we seemed hungrier and fighting more for second balls. Azeez was running at (and frequently past) his man, and Craig is really looking like he could be something very spe...

Re: Confirmed - Ejaria gone

Was talking to a Rangers fan friend shortly after Ovie signed and he called his time with us pretty much to a tee. Frustrating, flashes of brilliance but everything totally on his own terms and with very little regard for the team or club as a whole. Thought he tended to stifle our momentum and slow...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (h)

Tactics are bad/inappropriate for where we are, but individual decision making and execution was wretched last night. Time and time again players were looking for passes that weren't on, ignoring open passes forward (and even sideways) in favour of going backwards and, when they picked the 'right' p...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (h)

What a dreadful second half and even the atmosphere was rubbish. I thought Oxford looked in control without getting into a higher gear. Throughout my lifetime of supporting Reading, barring the last few years, we’ve always managed to build up a head of steam in home games and put sides under the co...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (h)

We are so, so SO bad on the ball. Haven't strung together more than three passes this half, and those were between GK and CBs.
