Who Moved The Goalposts?
Deal. Well that was easy - so just why the heck is it taking Dai so long?

Well I've just heard that WMTG does not have a box of Opal Fruits after all. Seems his wealth has been exaggerated. Looks like the deal is off

WMTG by name and WMTG by nature

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

In for joining but for 40% of the Caramacs. I offer a long expired box of Opal Fruits as collateral. 25%, the box of Opal Fruits and a Cadbury's Spira. That's my final offer. Deal. Well that was easy - so just why the heck is it taking Dai so long? Well I've just heard that WMTG does not have a box...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

There's no doubt that some of our fans don't know when to wind their necks in, but it was kind of funny to see them taking the moral high ground in some twitter posts, only for some Middlesbrough fans to turn up and remind them that their saintly fans waved money at the Boro fans when it was announ...

Winston Biscuit can we never refer to scheduled football as 'gameweek x' or matchday x' again please? its Americanisms gone mad

There's no stopping Americanisms I'm afraid. Unless they are specifically banned on HNA...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I suspect you're right; Dai may be interested in selling but I don't know who would buy it because developing property on it would be so difficult. Perhaps we could turn a section into a high end health club to bring some cash in? I wouldnt rule out a developer thinking they could build houses on B...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I think it's the overheads of the SCL, Bearwood and academy that are killing us. Agree that with our attendances plus transfer revenue for the likes of Puscas, we should have one of the division's larger budgets but these operations eat into it. I read yesterday that we're in arrears with ProZone. ...

I also clearly recall going to Palace away years ago and joining in with the "you're in ad min i stration" to the yine of Seven nation army. Thought it was very amusing at the time!

Re: “ Sell before we Dai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group v2.3b sponsored by Sports Direct Tennis Ba

Anything could be worth a try. I see that SBWD are planning to host something on Twitter next Tuesday. It’s for fans to help them come up with further ideas. Tbf, they have come up with some good ideas but they all seem so futile in terms of forcing Dai to sell. For me, game abandonment makes a rea...

Re: Weekend Football

Trouble is, anyone involved in the game at any time in recent memory, will have heard the phrase “he has a perfect right to go down there” so many times that, scandalously, it is now a part of football’s DNA. But no, it’s not too late to fix it - it just needs the will to do so. I hate that idea, t...

Re: Weekend Football

Going back to diving/simulation, I really think commentators have a large part to play in getting rid of this malaise. Just watching the Arsenal Liverpool game and have seen plenty of diving and falling over after a slight touch. But no commentator has criticised any of it. The more that happens the...

Re: Weekend Football

Like most, I have a huge hatred of diving/feigning injury, its just ruining the sport. A lot of my dislike is all the little decisions given frequently in the middle of the pitch. Almost nothing happens, player appeals to ref, foul give, play starts again quickly. I don't see the point?! I would li...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

I think the major difference between us in 2005/06 and Leicester this season is that Leicester had played in the Premier League for a number of seasons before being relegated, whereas we were a Championship side. They have a number of Internationals in their team before they played a single game th...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

TalkSPORT this evening - 5.41 - brilliant passionate speech from Hugh Woozencroft as to why Reading 106 are the best Championship team ever regardless of what Leicester achieve. Nice to hear a presenter / pundit talking so knowledgeably for once. Fair play to him I fear when Leicester break the rec...

Re: The Non - League thread

Superb debut from Connor Hall as he scored all 3 in the 3-1 win for Brackley over local rivals Banbury

Some unpleasant and a little embarrassing scenes after the third goal went in, as Banbury yoofs tried to get in to the Brackley end

Hopefully some bans will follow

Re: Oxford (A)

As long as you don't wear any colours, that lends itself nicely to an afternoon having a couple of nice pints in one of Oxford's many lovely pubs. Oxford is a total shithole. I'll drink in Reading before trudging up there on the train, fcuk their shitty pubs and boring city. No accounting for taste...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

The one thing that stood out to me was kept in the game even when we were under the cosh. We always looked like we were capable of hitting them on the break and Azeez has well and truly proved me wrong. We definitely need another experienced striker and as mentioned above Ehib isn’t going to improv...
