Re: Norwich - back from the game

and were unlucky that we werent more clinical when we got on the end of them. One observation I made on Saturday.. when is the last time a player connected properly with a corner? It seems we're always just under them and so they're skied, the closest we've had for a while I guess was Morro and he ...

He'll do well there, deserves a permanent move to a team at that level where he'll actually play.

Re: Norwich - back from the game

cmonurz
Jano For me, the team is crying out for a midfielder who can actually pass the ball, but the team seems far too lightweight when Guthrie is in the team.

So play 4-5-1, we have the wingers for it.

But not the striker(s).

Re: Norwich - back from the game

What a crap game. They parked the bus. We had a couple of chances to win it, but mostly struggle to get through. They looked more likely to do something going forward but Holt did very little except stomp around and be as petulant as ever and largely had no one up there. I thought McDermott did a lo...

Re: What have West Ham Done That we havent???

The difference between the clubs is that West Ham have an average Premier League squad struggling to adjust to the Championship. Their position is inflated by a rather fortunate start, but they should be lower mid table come the end of the season. Carroll is the perfect striker for the way they play...

Re: The next six games

I can see us getting something from WIgan and Newcastle. I'm getting more and more confident we'll do what we did last season, pick up form in the second half of the season. We haven't been playing badly, only over run in a couple of games and had a couple of dodgy decisions go against us. Once we g...

Re: Alex Pearce

Why On Earth Are Liverpool Linked With Mediocrity Like This? Liverpool are closely monitoring Reading centre back Alex Pearce, who they see as a long-term replacement for club legend Jamie Carragher. Pearce, who was voted Reading’s player of the season last year, is in the last year of his contract...

Re: Charlie Austin

Austin is currently being rumoured for a transfer to a top-six side. Rhodes is better and yet they didn't come in for him. He wont go to a top six side. A Newcastle or Fulham at best. You may be right and that is exactly why we should have bought Rhodes when we had the chance! and at CHAMPIONSHIP l...

Re: Playing on the same side? The last taboo

I know a player in passing, in the lower leagues of professional football. Has a partner in the north and settled life. He moved down south because of a chance to move up the leagues, more money, etc, etc, partner would't come with him. He's since spent quite a bit of loan back in the North West, as...

Re: Team for Norwich (H)

No Fixed Abode not many pairing Pog and Roberts up front? Wouldn't mind seeing that combo.

I'd have that if Hunt were out. But Hunt is our best striker in so far as getting service to Doyle/Long/Roberts/Pog. He makes average/ok players look and become better.
