Re: New Manager

We’re treated like shit are we ? Check how much we pay for tickets, not many clubs where you pay less and they’ve kept prices for STH and kids lowfor several years. We’ve had huge subsidy of expensive cup tickets. In what way do the club treat us badly ? Crowds have dropped because we’ve not been wi...

Re: Manchester Utd (a) - FA Cup

We’re certainly entitled to more than 3000 and United couldn’t limit us to that. However what often happens is the visiting club gets an initial allocation on a sale or return basis and can then take additional tickets on a firm sale basis. We may have decided that taking 7500 of which the club woul...

Re: New Manager

Always amazes me that these bizarre appointments are done without any consultation or thoughts of the lifeblood and existence of the club, ie us the fans. Why would a professional organisation consult a group of people who have no idea how the inner workings of said organisation work? I find it biz...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

I think he was certainly behind McIntyre and Osho, and Holmes is a couple of years younger so has a bit of time to develop/ fill out. We’re very well off for young centre backs so if we’ve made a bit of money and he has the chance of first team football it seems reasonable to let him move on. I thin...

Re: New Manager

There was not a lot in the CV’s of McGhee, Pardew or Mc Dermott to suggest they would be successful. Even Coppell was a risk. McGhee was a real punt at the time and in this day and age he probably would've been sacked before Christmas of his first season in charge! Not only is football quite differ...

Re: New Manager

Decision on this from Rio Ave/Gomes not expected until after their cup game with Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday evening. Might well be just a matter of agreeing comp. with the Ave chairman. Worryingly the Portuguese media rate it as a risky move if it happens and says that despite Ave managing to get...

Re: Feyenoord at MadStad tonight 7pm

We put out a very similar mix of players against Bayern last year IIRC.

WIthout actually counting I suspect the average age of our team is over 23, let alone it being a team of U23 players.

i predict Gabriel Osho is 49 given he’s not involved tonight

Re: Feyenoord at MadStad tonight 7pm

Will there be 4 members of Club1871 on the front row behind the goal trying to start chants? There were a dozen lads making a bit of noise at the last game, they even changed ends at half time At other games there has been some very noisy away support (Bayern Munich came with flags and sang non stop)

Re: Feyenoord at MadStad tonight 7pm

Havereally enjoyed these European games over the last couple of years.
Sadly can’t go tonight but would recommend it to anyone who is free.
Especially worthgoing as we are using quite a few younger players in the U23 side at the moment and there’s are some very useful kids coming through....

Eaststandman No, what we need is a romantic Norwegian appointment like manure!

So is that a vote for Trevor Morley then ?

Re: New Manager

If the new bloke has a Portuguese passport, will we dislike him? What if he then does well? Will we then like him, or will we dislike him even more? (This just in in, Wolves fans not worried too much re. passports) Are we extending our search to former Portuguese colonies such as Mozambique and Ang...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Seems odd that in the season after a major pitch replacement with some of the worst winter weather in recent years and plenty of rugby played the pitch showed no signs of the problems seen in previous years. The claimhad always been that it was the cumulative effects of rugbybthst had created the pr...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

It’s Sad to see Irish go and I fear for their future. They should be fine. It's not like London is overflowing with decent rugby teams, but it will take a while to build up support. The one eyed RFC fans who ranted on about the pitch have been proved well and truely wrong as since the pitch was rel...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Rugby is a joke sport and has rightly had to go . I suspect rugby cares little for your opinion of it ! I love my football but at the highest level rugby (union) wipes the floor with football. Footballcan only dream of having a team like the All Blacks.... The All Blacks are in quite a unique spot ...

Re: New Manager

Signed it in June this year. He loves Wycombe, improved his deal and gave him a bit of a budget for once too. He turned down huge money from Barnsley last season when Wycombe were in League 2 and Barnsley were a Championship side, he's not a money chaser by any means. Proper football bloke from wha...

This is 100% true. He wants the job but I know for a fact Reading will be put off by his buyout clause. Your just teasing me now  It is totally true he wants it and he has a huge clause in his Wycombe deal that he signed in June. Huge risk to take for the club. Odd how random people have detai...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (a) sponsored by Dick Habbin

I’d be more inclined to respect the opinion of someone who got basic facts right. We didn,t have an 18 year old centre back playing today. Tom Holmes was 18 when he played against Bolton last season. Tom McIntyre is 20. Gunny, sorry m8, I got a basic fact wrong. McIntyre, making his 1st team debut,...
