BFTG Norwich (a)

Glad it’s behind us now. Good point most of us would have taken if it was offered before the game. Can’t help feel a little disappointed it wasn’t all 3 esp. given some useful set pieces. That’s 4 points from the last 2 making the likely stuffing at the Hawthorns largely irrelevant. Andy Carroll mot...

Millsy pENALTY!

WHy does NGW never start he's amazing

Really don’t get why he doesn’t start games. He’s not perfect but I think he’s been a whole lot better than Rahman and yet he’s now not even getting ahead of a central defender playing in his position.

Re: Penalties

YorkshireRoyal99 Was Mannone not in goal against QPR when they missed the penalty? Pretty sure he saved it as well? Or am I thinking a season earlier than what's quoted?

Yes, Mannone did save 2 penalties for Reading (one v Leeds and one v QPR) but they were both in season 2017/18.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

Good news. The new Norwich caretaker manager thinks they should be beating ‘teams like Reading.’ One for the dressing room wall. https://twitter.com/pinkun/status/1608383670280245252?s=46&t=NTw4uUOg-tUOm3z3RcKadA With all due respect to interim managers like Allan Russell, who the oxf*rd is All...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Do Swansea have any French players or was the French tricolore just small time inferiority sad sack World Cup related? Did seem odd for people who utterly flopped at the WC to try and windup others who actually had a very decent tournament…. Swansea are Frenchless, the two players you might think a...

Re: Rival Watch

QPR being shown up for what they are by Luton - they are really a poor side. Luton up to 5th Division is so weird (but good). Thought they were the worst side except Huddersfield we’ve played this season I note now that those early relegation strugglers Middlesbrough and WBA are 6th and 9th respect...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Two real duds amongst a sea of trophy-winning signings, Klopp has a fantastic record with the chequebook. Hard to keep track of the Fernandez rumours, everyone linked to him, but seems Chelsea now the favoured destination for the Argentinian. I'm going to go against the grain here and say that IMO ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Meanwhile back on topic Generally Swansea fans aren't too bothered by Reading although Lumley and time wasting gets a bit of a mention as well as the ref being a bit of a homer. They're more concerned by their own shortcomings (though that was not helped as both Obafemi and Ntcham were ill and unava...

Re: January transfer window 2023

Nothing at all can happen until players leave either permanently or on loan. The club wants to keep both Mbengue and Carroll and the last I’ve seen in the media indicates both of those players want to stay. This really leaves the only option for new recruits arriving being players like Tetek and Cam...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a)

Thanks Sutekh On red button this one I believe Basically got to do what we did against Swansea. Fight hard, be aggressive, take our chances Think it may be an idea to freshen things up a little. Carroll back on the bench maybe (though he played well last night), maybe NGW in on the LHS but that pro...

Re: Injury watch 2022/23

Paul Ince said after the game yesterday that Fornah was injured in an 8 a side in training on Monday after clashing with Femi Azeez and his knee has come up like a balloon and is expected to be out for a couple of weeks. I think we're seeing Azeez's problem here.... not only injuring himself, but n...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (h)

Also, and not sure if already noted here, but why was Pince booked? Apparently one of the Reading management/coaching staff said something to the 4th official but once the ref was able to come over that person couldn’t be found  and the league protocol if that happens is that the manager gets ...
