Re: Gunter / HRK / Wales

I can imagine that having seen HRK's goal, Jaap might be wondering why the hell we let him go. I can just see him on the phone to Tiger right now, demanding that we get him back before he signs for anyone else!

Re: Eamonn Dolan RIP

Such sad news and a real loss to Reading FC. He was a true Reading legend, and his influence on the greatest period on Reading's history will never be forgotten. I like to think that in his last days he was still able to see two of his products score in the Euros - Robson Kanu and Gylfi Sigurdsson. ...

Re: Joey van den Berg

According to Charles Watts over on getreading, Joey has said that he hasn't heard of anything from his agent.

CONFIMRED - Tyler Blackett

It seems that the mirror is reporting that Jaap Stam is trying to get defender Tyler Blackett on loan from Machester Utd. A fairly obvious link, so it may well just be paper talk, but if it's true, then what happened to no longer relying on loan players? If it is true, then this is a player who help...

Re: CONFIMRED - Jaap Stam

I missed the extracts of interview with Stam on BBCRB yesterday but thought the chats with Tiger and Tevreden indicated a change in philosophy and that the young players will be the focus from now on. The philosophy going forward is to bring those players through, develop them, sell them and invest...

Re: Tshibola to leave?

Norwich - Graeme Murty Ah yes! there we go. I completely forgot he was their U18 manager now. That links all the clubs mentioned to us then, and all of the links have been at Reading at the same time that Tshibola has been at the club too. Wouldn't tish have been about 10 last time Murty was involv...

Re: Tshibola to leave?

I notice a connection between most of the clubs connected with Tshibola. Celtic - Brendan Rogers as Manager Aston Villa - Steve Clarke as Assistant Manager Crystal Palace - Alan Pardew as Manager Not sure what the connection to Norwich would be, but hopefully this means that it is just the papers co...

Re: An analysis of Reading's current situation

So as Jaap Stam is all but confirmed as our new manager, I now bring you part two of my analysis (don’t worry it is not as long as the first!) Well not so much of an analysis now, as it is more my thoughts, as we are now looking to the future. This appointment raises the question that when it seems ...

Re: An analysis of Reading's current situation

Just quickly on the "waiting 3 weeks" thing. Is it not possible the owners had a meeting with him to discuss their vision and the season ahead and Brian didn't match their ambition/expectations? Yes it is, which is why i said in my last post that one possibility was that is was purely dow...

Re: An analysis of Reading's current situation

One more point that I forgot to put in my original post regarding the timing of BM's sacking. I did wonder if the they waited for three weeks because they reacted to the season ticket sales not going well, or if it was purely down to the owners all having to get together to decide (I may be wrong, b...

Thank you to all of you who have praised my OP, and/or welcomed me. To those of you who have not read it or disagree with it, then that is fine, I never expected it to appeal to everyone or everyone to agree with it  . Just a few little points to mention Just a quick point (I'm half way through...

An analysis of Reading's current situation

Firstly, I would like to say that I am a Reading Fan of 28 years, and this is my first post on these forums. I normally avoid posting on forums, as I try to avoid endless debates of “I’m right/your wrong”, so I have decided to post here not my opinions, but more a carefully considered and (hopefully...
