Re: BFTG Millwall Home

I’ve been saying for ages that Barrow is part of the problem. He’s wasteful going forward and poor defensively. Compare him to McCleary who’s positional sense is so much better. . . Great to see Blackett getting some plaudits today as well. I think the fans have been overly harsh on him in the past...

Re: BFTG Millwall Home

Definitely rode our luck there, if some of Millwall's chances had gone in, we'd be absolutely slating the defence here. So I'm sure my marks are coloured by the result rather than the peformance. Jaakkola. 8 Really really good shot-stopping. distribution was a bit rubbish, how many times did he kick...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (h) sponsored by Terry Hurlock

Really baffled by this blond defence of Aluko , really odd. Of course I'm not expecting Clement to rip his player to shreds but his comments today were above and beyond what is necessary. What must Sims be thinking at the moment? The bloke knows there's nothing he can do to get a start. Would love ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

By the way, not heard the Bill Oddie chant for about 18 months - perhaps there's a connection between singing that regularly and getting results in the pitch. Club 1871 should give it a go, a whole 90 minutes to make up for it's absence. Briefly made an appearance at Brentford, but yes haven't hear...

Re: Rumour - Phil Parkinson

I'm gonna say it, because it needs to be said: you are full of shit, Admittedly he wasn't a world beater but he would walk into this Reading team. And I'm gonna say it - no he would'nt. Football has moved on big time since his day, and he just wouldnt be technically profficient to get near the firs...

Re: Clement

I'd be relaxing by getting a massage or if up to it having a swim or doing some light work in the gym. Being paid to be a professional sportsman is an honour and he is in the 1% of football players who are professional on this planet. He needs to focus on his footballing career and not his FIFA one...

Re: Clement

Been watching Meyler on Youtube recently concentrating on Fifa 19 and opening packs. He is not concentrating on football and the club. Do you feel that he has to go ? Genuinely curious here. Typically, training is 3 hours a day. Bearing in mind they are not supposed to exert themselves physically, ...

Re: Clement

I'd have 18 months of him. Might see Meyler do what he is actually capable of. We would also become Roy Keane's Reading and feature more regularly on Sky, albeit when playing away to Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday or Frank Lampard's Derby Been watching Meyler on Youtube recently concentrating on Fifa 1...

BR0B0T Teams relegated from etc

Nice analysis there, thanks. And certainly backs up my thinking that going down is much more likely to have a negative effect long-term than a positive one.

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

Just a thought, but as he kept us in the Division last year has he paid his signing fee? Am I missing a whoosh here? Are you talking about Aluko? He got 3 goals and 4 assists. On the other side of the park, Barrow got 10 goals and 4 assists. In fact Dave Edwards contributed the same number of goals...

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

Elm Park Kid Every time i've watched him he's been pretty poor. Shows a few flashes of skill here and there but overall there's no end product.

Would be interesting to see him in a better team though.

Like, um, Fulham?

Re: Will going down be a bad thing?

It will be a bad thing if the owners and Gormlessly stay. The sooner the pfuck off the better. I would not mind going down to L1 much, IF we make a success of it. Bring in Loader, Nova, Walker 1st team GK, Yiadom etc. Seriously can't see the likes of Yiadom staying, he's only been here a year, so i...

Re: CONFIRMED - Yakou Meite

a) Am I missing a whoosh here? Local heritage? Thing of importance?   No wonder other teams take the p*ss out of us b) Because improving our finances by selling him wouldn't help run the club down. Offering him a new, longer contract on higher wages hurts us financially and he alone...

Re: CONFIRMED - Yakou Meite

Are we being deliberately sabotaged these last 2 seasons by the board and owners for some reason? Did somebody make a bet with them? Make the club plummet like a stone, supporters desert in their masses, club goes bust and they can develop the land that the stadium is currently stood on without any...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Bruce just sacked by Villa. There’s an option I suppose Wouldn't be the worst tbh +1. Well it's -1 from me. Look at Aston Villa's squad, and how much they have spent. With that squad, Bruce has massively underachieved. Would he really do a good job with our squad? I can see the point of Colin, or M...

Well, he's got a new 4 year deal. Preparing for life in L1? Or is there a championship-quality striker in there somewhere?

Re: Corners

According to whoscored one of our main strengths this season is defending set pieces.. So basically, other teams are worse. OK... I think this is a bit like crosses / taking corners. Watch another game where you are not emotionally involved, and see how many either fail to beat the first man or sai...

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

I generally feel it's the players on the pitch that should get the blame, rather than the manager, but last night it was mostly Clement I was raging about. (1) Aluko is abysmal. If he was been given another chance, then that chance should have ended at half-time (2) Kelly was nearly as bad as Aluko....

Re: Rival Watch

Villa stretching the FFP to the limit again no doubt. They had that Terry wage to spend. Arguably Bolasie is more worth it than scumbag Terry. That Terry wage almost screwed them over + u add in a Tammy Abraham and a Tuanzebe. Hoping they will learn a lesson soon with the spending habits. They have...
