Re: Sean Long

Got a mention on the O/S transfer update post. http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/brian-transfers-280812-339941.aspx? Seems we signed him from a Sunday League Irish outfit - Cherry Orchard FC. Previous players there include Keith Fahey, Willo Flood, Brian Launders, Noel Hughes, Mark O'Brien, Al...

Re: Kebe or McCleary

At the moment it's McCleary's shirt to lose. Kebe will need to start putting in consistant performances to win it back. Not something I would have expected to have been saying about our undroppable star player at the beginning of last season.

Independent Brian McDermott's new 'friends' match Chelsea in all but the luck stakes http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article8073805.ece/ALTERNATES/w460/pg-68-mcermott-getty.jpg Reading will not worry about nights like this. On their first big-stage test of their top-flight return, they played ...

Re: Rumour - Jordan Ayew

I lose track. They seem to switch all the time. Anyway, it's a prime tactic to have one winger for width and the other for cutting inside. Gives you variety then. Plus, Jobi is a cracking player. Wingers are one thing we do not require more of in my opinion. Agreed. Jobi is more effective on the le...

More importantly, can you have a beer at your seats, like the same for the Championship winning celebrations?

I can't go tonight as I won't be back from work in time..........

One goal in two appearances for Reading, sounds alright to me.

Anyway now I've got the automatic stuck in my head....... "lets go see Raoul"

Re: You don't get much for £250 million?!

People, it was a stone wall penalty. Gunter tripped him up. Wish we had grounds to feel hard done by, but we really really don't. It was definitely a penalty but Gunter didn't trip him up. Hazard saw the leg and therefore went over it as it was the best chance of getting a goal. It's gamesmanship. ...

we ain`t buying anyone else this window , if we are in trouble come January thats when the panic buying starts. I suspect you're right, but at the same time Brian hasn't completely ruled it out "we'll see if anything comes up" or words to that effect.... Would never surprise me to see us ...

You're right. I would much rather have had Conor Sammon like Wigan last season.

What teams have you been watching?

Numerous top scorers at numerous clubs have done exactly that and worse, yet kept their places.

Federici Gunter Pearce Gorkss Harte McCleary Guthrie Leigertwood McAnuff Pogrebnyak Roberts ---- McCarthy, Mariappa, Tabb, Karacan, Robson Kanu, Le Fondre, Hunt. Wouldn't start Alf. I couldn't make it last night, sadly, but one thing I noticed myself from TalkSPORT/the live feed I had one and seen reported everywhere has been just how good the fans were last night to a man. Excellent

The general concensus I got from non-Reading fans last night is that Harte has actually improved as a player since his days at Leeds and pretty much held his own last night........................ as for Federici. He deserves a few more games based on last season alone. Not sentiment but for the sim...
