Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Dortmund - I like the design, and for them it's very good.

But for us, as a hooped shirt, it's an absolute no because it's not complete hoops.

AFC Wimbledon
Barnet
Cambridge United
Exeter City
Forest Green Rovers
Newport County
Swindon Town
Wycombe Wanderers
Yeovil Town

Any of these away.

Or anybody at home.

Re: Huddersfield fan here

That said, it's so oxf*rd hard though that it had to end like this. The general respect shown from you guys before and after the match will always be remembered by many a Town fan. And just when we thought we'd finished crying, this article emerges. http://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2017/5/31/157...

Re: May the best team win!

In the build-up to Wembley 2011, I had totally convinced myself I wasn't that fussed about winning as I wasn't all that taken with the whole Premier League experience, the result being that I wouldn't be all that disappointed if we lost as it was all new to Swansea following their gradual and "...

Self-deluding. Not being able to realise that they are essentially the same club as us. Yes, probably with more fans but they are where they are now generally due to a rich fan (or fans) who wanted to a) save the club and b) take it as far as they can. We were saved and moved to a new stadium, as h...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

This whole experience just reinforces my bemusement with people that support Liverpool/Man United, etc... with no connection to the club. I try to avoid football talk in work, this is one reason that happened yesterday: Colleague - are you going tonight? Me - yes, I can't wait as I've just been sic...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Since when did Fulham fans get this humongous chip on their shoulder? I remember my first ever away game in 1993 at Craven Cottage with an attendance of just 3000 diehard Fulham fans there in a crowd of 4.8k. Just because they spent a decade or so mixing it with the big boys makes them a more "...

CountryRoyal
Ian Royal Not bad considering we average scoring 4 goals against them. Whilst they average 1 against us.

? :?

Three matches against them in our history, 12 goals scored, 3 conceded.

Re: Away allocation for home play off game

With our big day tripper and glory hunting fan base we will fill it easily as long as we don't get spanked in the first leg. Even still, why should the club give the opposition club an advantage of a bigger away support in a massive game for the sake of 40 or 50 grand in match day revenue Even thou...

Re: Away allocation for home play off game

We've always given teams 2,100 tickets for the playoffs and I cannot see it changing this time around See above. Wolves were given 4k. Wigan would also have been given 4k had their support shown sufficient demand. Burnley didn't get given it despite requesting because we'd sold tickets in the other...

I calculate that just six players have reached 20 goals in a season since 1990/91:- Jimmy Quinn (35) & Stuart Lovell (20) - 93/94 Trevor Morley (22) - 96/97 Jamie Cureton (26) & Martin Butler (24) - 00/01 Shane Long (21) - 10/11 Figures may not be perfect and if not should be within one goal...

Re: Calling all stattos

Since 90/91, this is not double checked data, but I think the highest number of individual goalscorers we have achieved in a league season is 18, which has happened three times in that period - 99/00, 08/09, and the current season 16/17:- 90/91 - 12 - Steve Moran, Trevor Senior, Craig Maskell, Georg...

Re: Record Watch 2016-17

Because, for all their millions of £££'s spunked on all but guaranteeing promotion in individually very good players, they're not as good a team as the 106 side. In fact, IMO they're not even as good a team as Brighton who are by far and away the most well-meshed unit I have seen at this level since...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

TBF, I couldn't really hear our fans in Y25/26 from that angle either. The North Stand/lower reaches of the East Stand atmosphere really is dead as fcuk by the way. Having relocated to the ED Stand this season to accommodate my eldest, I can confirm that Tuesday night was significantly better in th...

Re: BFTG Newcastle (H)

I do think Stam wants his defenders to be defenders first and foremost rather than attackers - creativity etc is meant to come from the midfield this quote from his post-match reaction was also interesting: "We could have done a little bit better and we only conceded chances because we lost th...
