Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Hopefully the pitch should improve quite quickly now we've warmer weather (i.e. the grass will grow again) and it gets a bit more sunlight on it. The main issue for me is the worst affected areas of the pitch are the areas where we look most dangerous - i.e. the flanks near the penalty box, where th...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

That's an interesting question. I'd assumed the bare parts down the wings was due to the egg chaser line out things

Down the wings is pretty much central to our game plan, which is why I think it affects us so badly. Noticed Popa cursing it quite a bit especially - blamed his crap cross on it

Re: BFTG - Barnsley home

Valentine's Day is utter tosh whether you are single or not. A genuinely horrible idea of a day

Tuesday looks *much* warmer. Actually like spring. Hopefully our southern softies will enjoy the mild conditions more than yesterday's filth

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Yep with the latter arguments there. No major beef with rugby being played there - not my sport but would feel the same if it was athletics/cricket or something that was Point is the pitch is screwed. It was last year as well. We attempt to play it on the deck and it's affecting our ability to do so...

Re: BFTG - Barnsley home

Hmm, how was obita very poor out of interest? Plenty played worse than him imo. Didn't see him do much wrong

Re: BFTG - Barnsley home

Put my thoughts on the other thread but draw prob fair. Barnsley were well organised if not especially inspiring. MOTM for me prob Blackett.

Weather was very northern and horrible, be much happier when it warms up a bit

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by dour northern battles

First half was pretty dull to be honest. Couldn't get the wingers in the game and Kelly and Williams were poor Second half was much more entertaining. Could have gone either way. Didn't think either was a pen. Thought Stam should have made the subs a lot earlier - slightly frustrating when you have ...

Re: Contracts

To be fair to Brian, all the signings made when he was there (bar Gravenberch but he was basically out the door by then) have turned out well

Evans on a free was cracking business and Yann was well worth the 500k. Rakels potentially handy as well if he has fully recovered

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

To be honest looks like a done deal that they are off asap Personally think it's a bit of a shame that young Irish fans miss out on watching the team locally (Brentford is an absolute pain to get to considering it's so close) when they may have grown up with them being so close But then I think what...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

They seem very very keen to move back to Brentford. Found it slightly strange no mention of the fans that have supported them in Reading. Pretty much turns me to the good riddance side of the argument to be honest

Re: Team for Barnsley...

Hopefully with the options we now have, we have much more ability to make Substitutions that can really affect the flow of the match. It was nice to see Stam make a decisive substitution last week at half time, and really we now should be getting subs on no later than the hour mark if the game isn't...

Re: Contracts

Obviously it'd be lovely to have half a team of academy players, but if not, then the likes of Cooper and Samuel may attract a reasonable fee that could at least be invested in getting the next generation through with the hope of finding another Kelly/Obita who become a regular

Seem to remember reading one of these letters and the response - maybe in a newspaper - Metro perhaps?

Good luck with it anyway

Re: Rival Watch

Agree - last minute winner in a huge derby. That has to be taken into account

Both of them acted like a couple of muppets but it's in a different league to pushing an official or the Klopp shouty thing

That interview is comical - the interviewer's reaction particularly
