Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

He's probably as good as we'll get. Good record, but concerned that I think he has only scored 1 all season, in quite a few minutes on the pitch

To be fair, the way the team is lining up and playing at the moment, Thierry Henry in his prime would struggle to score goals

 Charming!! I was about in the days of the proposed Thames Valley Royals merger - no-one could have foretold that little scenario a few years previously. It is clear the Chinese are not interested in the football side of things, so what are they interested in? Nobody knows what they are intere...

Re: Moore or striker?

Bear in mind that Norwich have just sold unproven in the prem Pritchard for 11m, there was 8m for Tom Ince, 5m for Scott Malone who was pretty average for Fulham, talking about 3m for Ryan Fredericks who has 6months of his contract left...plus many more Anything below 8m would be a steal really in t...

Actually think Burnley will put him up for loan. Weird signing that was, barely played a minute for them, think he got over his ankle injury long ago. So always a possibility

Re: Gourlay out.

think Williams was on 40k wasn't he? Think that was the common assumption

guessing most of the experienced guys like McShane, Joey, Edwards etc would be in the 20k-25k mark. Complete guess though

I think there is a strong chance we will get Martin in on loan. And if we do, then we should aim to do it asap

What are they earning then ?

well obvs don't know individually. But the wage figures show our wages as a huge percentage of turnover which suggests the average wage at the club is high

yep. I'd only bring in a loan striker and maybe a good lb on loan if available (but not even that bothered by that)

Re: Please get our transfer business completed in swift fashion!!!

We've got to stop paying top dollar for mediocrity. This is the crux isn't it? If we do have one of the highest wage bills in the division, theres a lot of questions that should be answered. As I said on another thread, we wouldn't lose anything by trying to sell or move on Beerens, Mendes, Quinn, ...

Went awol in the fog game against us Was mainly as McClaren wanted him back at Derby. Was a key man for him in his previous spell. Guessing McClaren just got in his ear and said he wanted him back and would be his main man etc Did think the reaction from Martin was over the top at the time but this ...

Would like to play him AND Bodvarsson.
