found Gomes press conference today pretty interesting. Like his honesty:

NewCorkSeth -------------------Martinez
Yiadom---Miazga---Moore---Richards
-------------------Ezatolahi
----------Rinomhota-----Baker
McCleary--------------------------Ejaria
--------------------Barrow

It's a Pulis team so I guess we should try fast counter attacks with low crossing into the box and plenty of long balls for Barrow to chase.

This looks good. Except Richards. Definitely Gunter over him. And I'm not convinced by Ejaria wide, so maybe Harriott. Or Loader, I'm ok with trying him wide.

Yeah.. I just guess I thought it would be smart to play someone who might have to step up to the plate next season in Richards.
Prep him for the possibility that Gunter leaves and Obita doesn't make it back as fast as we hope.

Richards is injured isn't he? Otherwise I'd have thought he'd have been playing in the u23 considering his fall from grace from the first team

Certainly not bad thinking. I just don't really rate him.

Any reason why? I haven't seen enough of him to write him off as I never saw him play for the youth team (I think the one youth game I have seen was the one Hector commentated and Nana Owuso played LB that game)

Nothing particular, just seen him a fair few times now and not been impressed.

Think Loader will 100% start the last two games now the pressure is off. Gomes will want to give him that chance to score his first goal where as Baldock is out the door this summer and not in Gomes' plans.

Stewart Downing will also face a late fitness test for Middlesbrough tomorrow after getting knock during training this week.

Subs: Konstantopoulos, Clayton, Hugill, Downing, Wood, Tavernier, Gestede.

Reading: Martínez, Gunter, Yiadom, Moore (c), Miazga, Rinomhota, Baker, Ejaria, McCleary, Loader, Baldock.
Subs: Walker, Harriott, Ezatolahi, Kelly, Barrett, McIntyre, Olise.

Barrow presumably also injured then. Looks like that continual jinx is going to run and run (unlike the players affected)

It’s pretty lucky we are basically safe with the ridiculous number of injuries. That bench have hardly played a first team minute since January

Matched by 'Boro's ridiculous unavailability at the back (2 defenders?).
Will be quite something if Baldock or Loader win anything in the air against Flint so let's hope we play quick pass and move and keep the ball on the ground as much as possible.
