Wimb Had forgotten about Dowd's impact that day until this was dug up, shows how much I've come to terms with that defeat yet I still can't let 1995 go without thinking how McAteer should have gone :evil:

So without checking who was the barsteward in the black who got is so wrong on that day?


psht, was at an age when I'd only remember a referees name if there was some toilet humour to be made so no idea!

You remember the referee Master Tony Bates? Mad stad announcer had a field day with that.

No Fixed Abode Thought he had a superb game today. Missed one or two minor things, but on the whole, he was excellent.

Wiki says ref was Peter Foakes, not a name I remember. Wiki also says he passed away suddenly in 2006 - rather sad and at the same time spooky as that was the year we made it into the Prem.
