Now that is genuinely funny and raised a smile even though my team is the butt of the joke.

The thing is now, far from it being 'a great time to be a Reading fan', we're now seen not as a respected, well run Championship club, but as a complete joke, being embarrassed in the media spotlight around the world

Great publicity stunt by Betfair. Shame it has to be us on the receiving end, but if the shoe fits and all.

I would like a full run down on those turkeys and their year of freedom.

Will we win the Turkey of the year awards.

It's Nelson/Martin from The Simpsons-esque stuff.

I genuinely feel for you Brendy. You will no doubt be taking this situation much harder than the rest of us, adamant as you were that it wasn't going to happen.

My wife has just accepted a job with Betfair. I thought about trying to persuade her not to accept after this publicity stunt then thought: 'they have a point'

No Fixed Abode LOL!

Reading = A joke of a club

Fans want to do the things 'the Reading way'.

Now they're in trouble

They want AZ to splash the cash. (After moaning about other clubs spending lots of money)

Hypocrisy I tell thee.

Whilst I am quite happy with fellow supporters voicing opinions that I may or may not agree with, this BetfFair stunt is just an example of an organistion that has nothing to do with Reading just taking the pi55 out of us. It's interesting to see the passion (or maybe not  ) that the shocking perfomances and results have awakened yet we seem quite ok with a bit of public humiliation an orgainstion unrelated to the club. Not sure I get the caring / not caring thing.

What can be done about it. Go down there on a made rampage or plucking. Take a turkey to the next home game. It's a crass publicity stunt that no doubt has 5live sniggering and spaffing their pants.

Call me old fashioned but I can't be the only one who thinks that stunt is poor.

Those lot would have got less of a stuffing than us against <insert Spurs, Sunderland, Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City)

Is that <Insert Turkey/Playername pun e.g "Giblet-y" Kebe> on the right?

etc.
