Shouldn't have been a goal. Utter kunt of a ref pandering to the big club.

It . was . a . foul.
Shorey is entitled to just stand still on the field of play.
Barry is not entitled to use an opposition player as a step ladder.

I refer to my previous post about Mike Dean......

Sorry, but it was a perfectly legal goal.

Shorey screwed up big time, he ducked as Barry ran into him.

 It's not a foul by Barry. If anything, it's a foul by Shorey. That'd be given on the half way line as he's not challenging for the ball.

Not that I subscribe to the whole everyone h8s us mentality, but I suspect the question of whether that was a foul or not won't even be posed on MOTD. They'll just talk about what great character City have and how they never give up.

Avon Royal
Gordons Cumming Come on.

We all thought this would be a slaughter.

This City team costs millions and we cost nothing in comparison.

Reading must take a lot of heart from that performance.

Wigan lost
Southampton lost
QPR lost

Perspective needed.................

Now THAT is defeatist talk.

Do you think the players are sat there now going "oh well, at least we didn't get slaughtered"? Of course not, they will be utterly distraught.

Not defeatist.

Realistic.

Not really, it was so obviously going to happen. We haven't been able to hold on all season.

If Shorey had made some effort then Barry would have had to climb and we would have got the foul.

If you do have a shot with Barry clearly using his hands on Shorey then I might have to rethink.

ZacNaloen Midfield of Karacan, Guth, Tabb on Wednesday.

Two work horses and a play maker. You know it's right Brian.

We all you knew that from the start of the season, just a massive shame (that doesn't really cut it) that McDermott didn't know it.

NICKY SHOREY!!! Jump and clear the ball and we would of taken a point at the Champions and been the team to of stopped City scoring at home in their last 40 home games!

I cant see how the referee can give a foul against Karacan's fair shoulder barge in the first half then doesn't give one against Tabb in the penalty area in the second half! Tabb was in a goalscoring position running straight at the goal and that City defender came straight across him. I'm gutted!!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody said Tabb should be in the first XI at the start of the season. Nobody.

Loads of positives. Don't agree with those saying its a kick in the teeth. BM has done what we all wanted & we clearly were better for it. Hopefully he is learning.

The ONLY way we can stay up is if we go on a mini run & get say W,D,W,D. Can't see it but will be happy enough for the rest of the season if we carry on showing a bit of steel & fight.

So fcuking annoying we've left it that bit too late.

We really did miss Jem so much - great news he is back.

The way i understood the rule is the ref will give it to the person going for the ball over the person who is just standing there or backing into the player. Correct me if im wrong.

Irritating thing is that we looked as likely to win it towards the end as City did. Could have been a massive turning point in our season but instead it now just seems to sum it all up.

Pog, Mapps and Kebe were outstanding. Guthrie showed lots of quality in the 15 minutes he was on. Leigertwood was careless in possession but apart from that no real negatives.

Gutted. :(
