I thought at the time it was wrong to sack him, and I'm glad he's back.

Obviously, we all hope he can be successful again. But even if not, he had earned the right to more time and more mistakes than our then owner allowed him.

Welcome back, Brian, and let's hope the club can regain a bit of its soul.

Royal Lady Until someone comes in who achieves more than McD did when he was manager here, it will, to me, always be the wrong decision.

Clarke is a better manager than Brian

League 1 then...

All seems to make the last 4 years completely irrelevant, they might as well not have happened.

New thread

Brian: The right decision? Part 2

Have the club done the right thing to re appoint Brian today? (Well yesterday actually)

My early suspicion would be that the answer is no, but I'm not writing him off, and would be more than happy to come back to this and say I was wrong, he got us promoted again. So who knows?

We shall see.

I think they were right to bring him back as it will help to heal some of the wounds that were opened up by him leaving. His sacking went against every principle the club should stand for and we can all now be happy that a wrong has be righted.

Whether he will be a success, I honestly don't know. His record suggests he will do well but then I agree that the quality of the league has fundamentally changed since the last time he managed it. Sunday was interesting because Blackburn are exactly the sort of "low quality but solid set up" style of team that made up the bulk of the league in 2011/12. These days parachute payments mean that a number of clubs have 10m players in their side.

Regardless, I just hope that people (mainly the Thai owners) have patience. I don't care what happens this season as long as we are building for the next.

Oi Kim Jong-RF, you don't get to tell us when part 1 ends and part 2 starts.

I dunno about you, but I quite enjoyed one of those seasons. Well, half of it.

100% rate so far, can't complain with that!

Also I saw a post on the book of faces this week, which showed our Bri's post xmas results, under his guidance.

Now I don't know if it is correct and am far too lazy to check but this is how it read:

2009-10
DWWWWWWDWLWW

2010-11
WWDLDWWWWWLW

2011-12
WWLWWWWWWWWD

So basically now is the time to get yourself down to the bookies and place your mortgage on RFC to win the league. (Sky bet are currently offering odds of 300/1, or if you want to be a bottle job it is 16/1 for promotion).

I am IN!
