Three times. One time when I was looking at a cordless hoover, then another time when I was just walking through the house & home section to get to the hifi stuff and the other time when I was tromboning this dude in the gents toilets.

Sacking McDermott was an awful decision in my view with hindsight, sacking Adkins I'd the right one I think.

Both decisions made earlier than I expected, that I think are difficult calls and you can't really argue with under the circumstances.

Not an unfair summary - particularly considering he wasn't given the chance again to succeed/fail at this level with us.

Has the club gone forwards since sacking Brian McDermott? I think the answer is quite clearly no.

Has the club gone backwards? I think the answer is quite clearly yes.

I suppose this leaves the question - would we have gone backwards more/quicker if McDermott had stayed? Obviously this is hypothetical but I very, very much doubt it.
