You know you're doing something right when the opposition are as bitter as Fulham are :D

Sat in their end I don't think I've ever been surrounded by so many clearly non football fans. And I thought our fans were embarrassing.

They might beat us at our place but their failure to win the home leg means they can't sit back, they have to go for it and one thing's for sure, they're even worse than us at penalties.

The "anti-football" card is usually played when the opposition can't accept they were out-thought on the day. It's a playoff. It's not about pretty football, it's about doing what you can to get the right result.

Exactly, all it means is we stopped them from playing to their strengths.

Just seen the goal, neither the alleged foul by McShane or the handball by Williams look clearcut, although obviously I'm happy for Fulham to whinge about the injustice of it all.

Aw, bless, we didn't let ickle Fulham play football. Hardly a clumsy effort to snuff out creative football, it worked and it's called tactics.

I stopped reading when I realised he wasn't actually at the game. Jesus wept what a melty gimp, I can't believe they'd even publish that

I guess it's not just GetReading that
Is a sack of shite. Must be company policy.

Absolute embarrassment that is. Displays a complete lack of understanding of the game.

My word. What a load of tosh. The one comment underneath suggest some of their fans understand football.
"I mean Malone wasn't much better than McShane in that match in terms of fair play, and he should've seen red long before Reading went down to ten men. Also, if Reading get clattered 5-0 at the Cottage then of course they'll play messy football to get a result."

Just more evidence that over analysis from media outlets is skewing opinions on what is in effect a simple game. This is the championship full of blood, sweat and tears for goodness sake!

I could count on my tiny finger the amount of teams able to entertain their fans week in week out. Clearly they don't have much experience of what it takes to keep yourself in a playoff tie after 46 sapping games.

I do find it amusing that Fulham fans and the media crow about them being a passing team when I would hazard a guess we have just as or a higher possession amount over the season. We mixed it up(which to be honest we haven't done as much as I'd like this season) and did a decent job on them(see newcastle at home but did they rant and rave?). This 'anti football' tag is as irritating a word as 'populism' is in elections-particularly when it used on one single ruddy game. Ps Chris Martin:anti football.oops I've said it.

"Anti Football"?....really?
I might have been watching the wrong game. But over 90 minutes I'd see we dominated more than they did. I'd also go as far as to say that at 0-1 up we looked like we could have finished them off at times. If we just had a bit more pace and a few better deliveries they were looking uncomfortable.

Such muggy deluded fans, they make Brighton look modest.

And the clappers? Don't even get me started.

Yeah they really didn't have any cutting edge.

Just goes to show how well we've done this year, finishing 3rd in a division with not only the Champions in all but reality Barcelona of the South coast, as well as the Barcelona of Putney.

They are hilarious. They don't look anything like Barcelona in the way that they play. Who is their Suárez? Chris Martin? Who dribbles it like Messi? They just have a bit of pace on the flanks. That's all.

The GetWestLondon article was weird.

Fulham were supposed to be four nil up at the half way stage. Not quite going to plan for the leagues best football team. But they are the best so we will have to work extremely hard on Tuesday night.
