Nameless LOL at people worrying that the possession stats don't add up to 100. It makes little sense for them to add up to 100.
Perfectly possible for neither side to have possession of the ball at times. It's only a guesstimate anyway......

Possession is just a percentage of the passes each team made, so it should add up to 100.

That seems somewhat flawed as a system.

There's no perfect method. Good article from OPTA below:
http://www.optasports.com/news-area/blo ... essed.aspx

tl;dr - trying to determine who has possession at any given second requires two people to concentrate for the whole 90 minutes. Just relying on the passing ratio generates very similar answers but doesn't fail when someone drifts away.

Bumped into a Derby fan from work before the game who was surprised to see me
He said - You're a glutton for punishment!

Sweet

In fairness he's been called out on that multiple times.

Tbf I was expecting more.. ok so there is the standard "how could we lose to reading? READING?!?" and all that jazz but its not the worst meLOLtdown ever. Think we'd be just as pissed off if we were in their position. Plus they were shockingly bad.

Their fans normal response to a defeat is to suggest spunking a few more million of someone's money in the next transfer window. Not really worked in the last five years though has it.

Billy Sharp for £6 million and £30k a week should do it.

There's a lot of "4 game winning streak doesn't mask the fact we've not been playing well" type posts and a fair few "I'd have taken 12 points from those 5 games beforehand" posts. Also a few "We lost a game, we're doomed" posts. It's a lot like here really.

Derby were awful but Reading were really good today. Intelligent, quick passing, movement and desire. The better team won and Reading will finish much higher up the league than the position they're in now I'm sure.

Credit where credits due to reading though I was quite impressed with them , there number 7 and Sone Aluko ripped us to bits. They should be up there or there abouts by the end of the season.

congrats to Reading for playing fast tight football. We were out manouvered in the first half.

Man, they had some bedwetters on their forum by the way (with regards to their own team). You think it's bad on here! They win four games in a row and one of the users says "That's a sacking result"

I have noticed one thing on these posts, that all other team forums look absolutely crap compared to ours

About the kindest set of words I’ve seen on another forum about us

But the bed wetting is very funny considering their position and last season

Interestingly the really don’t seem like that Lawrence chap - thought he’d be a great signing for them

Absolutely agree.

But please don't post or act like you do here on other forums.

I was on a car forum once when I needed a new one. I laughed on a thread and called someone a "waste of a good sperm" and got an instant ban.

It's also effected me in real life in similar ways

That must be why I keep getting bans from club penguin. Any other tips?
