Academy Released -
Edwards
Lincoln
Gogic
Henly
McLennan
Andersen (no offer yet)

Only major shock to me here is Lincoln being released.

Stuart Moore has had his contract renewed, on the keeper front.
Dominic Samuel, Pierce Sweeney and Sammi Fridjonsson also staying.

Surprised we've released both Lincoln and Henly. Genuinely thought Moore was behind them in the pecking order and that Dan's performances this season would have got him a contract.

I think all four of the U18s signing "new contracts" (Axel, Sindi, Davis and Collins) have actually agreed extensions. The first three are first year scholars and I thought Collins' contract was announced to run until 2016.

Daniel Williams has already agreed a deal elsewhere (no big loss, hasn't really played this season and doesn't look nearly as good as Smith). I think the second year scholars who aren't already tied down are Jules, Ethelston, Sheppard and Waritay. Custom is to give players an extra year if they spend as long injured as Sheppard and Ethelston have, but Sheppard's earned the deal anyway. Not sure whether Waritay's been injured or just struggled to break into the team, he's a really neat player but has barely been used and it's hard to see him displacing Tish/Kuhl/Husin. Jules has a long way to go but I think his raw physicality will help him.

Who's signed Daniel Williams?
Very surprising if so. Couldn't even manage to get on the U18s bench most weeks!

I rate Jules. Sheppard seems to have come good towards the end of the season.
I don't rate Lewis Collins.

maffff thinks he's got a side in America. Just checked his Twitter and he made an Instagram post about it: https://instagram.com/p/2oq1VmzVum/

Haven't been impressed by what I've seen of Collins - prefer Waritay - but I've only seen him play twice.

Sheppard is a fantastic player, really classy on the ball. If Stacey and Fosu are going to be involved heavily in the first team next season then I think he'll probably be a regular in the U21s.

I also picked up that Colm McAdden (another youth keeper) has left for Palace's academy.

Collins and Legg were confirmed months ago by the OS (and were never likely to go anywhere else). Sheppard is great news though.

Is it not time we had a new thread now for 2015/16?
