Royals and Racers
Royals and Racers
Royals and Racers Southampton 3rd team through, 2-1 winners tonight.

Bayern are the final team through after winning on penalties after drawing 1-1 at Leicester after extra time.
So Bayern, Zagreb,Southampton and Reading contest the semi`s- i would expect with all matches over here- Royals and Southampton will be home to one of the European teams- but who knows !!!!

Home to Bayern Munich. Game will be played at the Madstad. Semi to be played by Friday April 12th

I'm wondering if By should read On.

That's a sexy team. Interesting to see how Frost does as the main striker, don't think he's played there for a few years. Also looks like Holsgrove will be playing in a more advanced role which should suit.

Tom Holmes probably the pick of the bunch & McIntyre got a 45 minute run out on return from injury. Otherwise the same problem as the First XI nobody capable of scoring from open play.

Novakovich scores, gets an assist and gets the opposition defender sent off against Emmen.

I'm still baffled as to why we loaned him out.

Would he fit in with Gomes style of play though?

They are likely to come in with a bid during the summer I should think, do we cash in or let him go for nothing the following summer? he would surely score loads if we go down.

Given that Gomes uses the same style of play that the club has been using since we signed Novakovich, and that Gomes keeps picking strikers who are stylistically very similar to Novakovich... yes, safe to say he would.

Absolutely keep hold. Look at some of the figures being thrown about in League One for “proven” strikers. Yes sure there are a lot which come through unknown but we don’t exactly have the best track record of late of unearthing hidden gems. Think it’s paramount we retain any possible source of goals.

Do you have any reason to believe he wouldn't, or are you just asking?

It's long been in the back of my mind, the awful feeling that we may never see him play a game in the 1st team here.

You can rest easy, he's already played two games for us.

Yep, should have said another game in the 1st team here. Has it crossed your mind too?

It was something I worried about a little a year ago, but since he signed his new contract that hasn't really been a threat.

Much bigger issue is why the hell we loaned him out in the first place, but Meite's proven himself to be a useful striker so eh.
