From the same ilk that produced these monstrosities so take everything with a large pinch of salt.

The video of his mum crying as he came on is lovely.

To see your son/daughter represent your country at anything must be an incredible feeling.

Agreed.

A win will guarantee us a play-off spot tonight, if we dont do it we get another chance at home to Stoke next week.

0-3 might save us the trouble of losing the play-offs against Villa.

Disappointing score line with a strong line up

Still good to see Watson get an hour

Royals and Racers 1-3 Frost

Finished 1-4.

Don't want to be horrible about the U23's as overall they've had a decent season, but this side contains a number of players some people have been clamouring to get a run in the senior side. You've got to think that them not getting a go is down to them not being good enough yet (or maybe ever) rather than Clement/Stam/whoever shutting them out for no good reason.

It's a bit like players on the bench, they get better and better the less they play.

Good to see Watson get 65 minutes though, would feel more comfortable with him as a backup for right-back than Rinomhota - it is his position at least.

Full game - Rinomhota, Smith, Holmes
65 minutes - Watson
60 minutes - Mendes

Assumed you meant Loader until I saw the line-up. Were you talking about Smith and maybe Rinomhota? I haven't seen much hype about any of this team, except injured Watson.

Bluntly, it wasn't a very talented team we put out tonight. I don't think any of that front five have particularly promising futures. Driscoll, Osho, Holmes, and Watson might do, but there's a lot stacked against them.

I did mean Smith and Rinomhota, yes.

But in general I mean the "just play the U23's - at least they care" type of horseshit. And it's the same with previous U23 and academy teams. People acting like the manager is keeping them out for spite, or because they're not Dutch blah blah blah.

Some of these players will leave the club, and you'll have all the - oh look at the talent we let go because we had mediocre players blocking their path stuff.

In general the "mediocre players" are a considerable step above, and are being played because they are better.

We cannot afford to buy a team of ready assembled excellent players.
If you're not prepared to give youngsters time to develop then you will be watching mediocre shite for the rest of your days. And deservedly so.

Fcuking hell. I'm lost for words. Particularly like the "Fight & Win" guy with his "I'm the man!!!" strut.

Compare and contrast with the politest nation in the world. I know it's all kind of done by committee but at least they wholeheartedly dove into the Ultra concept, do it properly and have been doing it from Day 1 of the J League.

Anyway, well done Andrija.

Tall, gangly but with good feet. Not to put too much pressure or expectation on him but sounds potentially like a player in the Kitson mold if we develop him properly.

Youngsters at Reading do appear to get a chance if they're felt to be good enough. Don't think you can criticise Clement or Stam for providing opportunities for them this last couple of seasons.

Leading the way at the club next season should be Novakovich, Richards, Watson and perhaps Rinhomota with Andresson, Loader, Smith and Holmes continuing their development via loan deals.

But obviously the management are closer to things and from what I've seen down the years don't drop too many rickets, with any being dropped being down to players wanting to move e.g. McCarthy going to the PL. Therefore I have good faith in what they're doing.
