Holsgrove is still 16 so to be playing in u23s is an achievement.

He is the one they fancy most of all apparently. Dismissed by some judges because he runs funny. No pace but has great vision and touch.

Only what I'm told by a fellow academy parent.

Royals and Racers
Sutekh
Royals and Racers Royals PL 2 ( U23) are in danger of being relegated out of Div 1. With 3 games to go they are bottom of the league on 18 points however
there are 2 other teams on 18 points as well. bottom 2 get relegated.
9 Southampton P19 pts 20
10 Derby P19 pts 18
11 Leicester P 18 Pts 18
12 Reading P 19 pts 18

How do their remaining games compare to Derby, Leicester and Soton?

And your last servant died of ???
Incidentally thank you for your excellent match previews.
Reading
Arsenal, Leicester and Sunderland all at home- last 2 at Madejski
Leicester
Man utd, Liverpool home Reading, Spurs away
Derby
Man city, Southampton away Chelsea home
Southampton
Liverpool, derby home man city away

There are more teams who could be in trouble as well- all the way up to Spurs who are 6th from bottom. table https://www.premierleague.com/tables?team=U21
fixtures https://www.premierleague.com/fixtures?team=U21

The Premier League have somehow managed to keep last season's table up  Correct table here: http://www.worldfootball.net/table_calc ... gue-div-1/

Derby look like they're in the most trouble. Just did a predictor and have them going down along with Leicester, and only a point separating the next four. Having said that, if Leicester beat us then we'd go down instead! Hopefully we play a strong team, possibly including Kelly.

Been watching Holsgrove for a while. Definitely more impressive than some of the more prominent players about his age like Frost and Loader.

I say it every year, but I'm really looking forward to watching the U18s next year. Very young team this year who should be a real force next year.

Seem to remember his dad having the gait of an asthmatic hunchback when he ran so obviously something he's inherited.

Back from the game.
Team Legg, Watson, Dickie, Osho, Richards, East, Meite, Rinomhota, Mendes, Frost, Novakovich with Barrett coming on near the end.

1-0 down after 7 minutes following a corner where we were slow to come out after the ball was pinged away. After about 20 minutes Legg picked up a back pass just yards from the goal. Free kick in our area which he then made up for by saving. And then we pretty much controlled the game. Pick of the goals was the third from Mendes when he picked the ball up just outside their area, steamed his way past defenders and smashed it into the net.

Osho booked for timewasting at a throw in and Mendes booked for a crushing tackle. When players go down at this level and stay down you know they are hurt. Stam was there and I would think was pretty pleased by what he saw. Style of play similar to first team but a real keenness to go forward at every opportunity.

Thanks for the report Dave - wish I could get to Wycombe for 1pm on a Monday! Although I'd settle for playing at a sensible time. Ahem...

How did they set up? I'm guessing East collecting the ball from the defence, Rimonhota and Frost ahead of him, Meite down the right, Nova on the left, and Mendes through the middle?

That's the advantage of being retired and living 15 minutes from Adams Park.

Set up more or less as you said. Legg looks a bit inexperienced to be on the bench at first team games but after 20 minutes he didn't have too much to do. Conditions were pretty awful with rain most of the time but they still played a good passing game.
