Nameless 2 good things in our side
- presence of Bod, hopefully available for next week
- absence of Eza, hopefully in the squad tomorrow

Fingers crossed for a win tonight....

Ezatolahi certainly wasn’t in Gomes plans for next season. I hope he gets some decent game time over the next two matches to show what he can do.
He would be a relatively inexpensive signing.

I don’t think he could have been in his plans not having seen him play. Clearly he considers him worth taking a look at....

He said in a recent interview that Ezatolahi wasn’t in his thoughts so he would have had no chance to impress. Now with one of the January loanees out of the loop he will hopefully get an opportunity to show what he can do at CDM.

Good come back by Wolves, won 3-2, didn't matter in the end though.

Lost 2-1

Indeed, that was my point ! It wasn’t that Gomes had ruled him out, just that he hadn’t had a chance to rule him in ! He’s given him a run in the U23 side already so clearly wants to get a look a time him.

My impression was that he wasn’t in Gomes thoughts at all for next season. He now has a chance to show to Gomes that he is worth keeping.

Result today Middlesborough U23 0 Newcastle U23 1 so with just tomorrow`s play-offs decider to go- Southampton v Sunderland the table looks like this
1 Wolves p 22 pts 43 GD + 23- Promoted unless Southampton can score 12
2 Reading p 22 pts 40 GD +12
3 Southampton p 21 pts 40 GD + 12
4 Newcastle p 22 pts 40 gd + 9
5 Aston Villa p 21 pts 36 GD +5
So it`s odds on we will finish 3rd and meet our bogey team Newcastle at home and Southampton will play Villa at home.

Am I right in thinking the play-off final will be played at the ground of the team that finished higher in the league?
So it could be us away to Southampton or home to Villa if we get through.

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly both eyeing up the potential transfer of highly-rated young Reading goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke. The 16-year-old shot-stopper has impressed at the Madejski Stadium, having become a regular for the club’s Under-23 side this season.

Obviously a very promising keeper if at 16 he’s been thrust into the U23’s. He’s also 6 foot 3 and growing!

Luke Southwood has a great chance to earn the number one spot this summer, with Mannone not expected to return and AJ off. Conor is a few years off getting a sniff here, and that’s optimistic. I think his head will turn and we’ll lose him.

If he has any sense, he'll realise he's a lifetime off getting a sniff at Arsenal or United.

Is he really 6’3” ? He looks much shorter than that !
Do you know him ? Hard to say someone’s head will be turned unless you actually know them. We’ve got several players who could have gone to ‘bigger’ academies but have stayed with us and I think anyone with a good agent would probably decide moving to a supposed ‘bigger’ club at 16 is far from the best option. If you genuinely have the talent you will get to the top and probably be better off if you wait. If he’s a few years off getting a sniff here then he’d be further off at Man Utd or Arsenal....

Yep didn’t look 6ft3 when I watched him.

He’d certainly be best off staying here, hopefully will do so

Agreed. no way he is 6ft 3. got a fair bit of growing and developing to do yet, these big clubs must have a never ending stream of kids that come to them and don`t make the grade.
If his advisors have any sense they will tell him to stay put.

Seems as if the play-off match v Newcastle is this Friday
from the Premier league website
Playoff date
Saints will host fifth-placed Aston Villa in their playoff semi-final, a one-off match at St Mary's on Friday 3 May at 19:00 BST. The winners will face Reading or Newcastle United, who also meet at 19:00 BST on Friday 3 May at the Madejski Stadium, for promotion in the playoff final.
