P!ssed Off Is that Dom Solanke, the winger, or Dom Solanke, the striker?

Perhaps James Henry, from the Reading area, and once pursued by Chelsea, might have been a more appropriate example, than Tshibola.

Henry was pursued at 16 once Rodgers had moved, and before Chelsea had a reputation as career killers (he would have been playing alongside Woods and Taiwo, for example). Same story with Thomas Lyskov. Likewise Anton Rodgers, and Liam Bridcutt joined them pre-Abramovic.

Royal Ginger Isn't the loaned out, not yet breaking through Chalobah reputedly on £30k plus? That's one very good reason to be on Chelsea's books as a youngster rather than ours. Poor move Mr Tanner, poor move...

£30k is a defender's wage! Lucas Piazon is on significantly more than that...

These are quite good too though.

Have I mentioned I rate him?

Big fan of him too, he was my favourite from the Youth Cup team last year.
Watching that goal against Spurs again, I still think there's a bit of Gylfi in his finishing..

Colbster The Southampton Watford QF has been re-arranged for 12/02/2015. We will then find out who we are against (and when) in the Semi's

Southampton won 3-2 and their website is saying that they are home to Derby in semi`s -which means draw has been made and we will meet Blackburn. Don`t know if this is home or away because there is nothing on the premier league u21 cup fixture page as yet.
Edit Away to Blackburn Thursday 26th February.

Husin is really hitting form now. U18s top scorer, joint with Cardwell (though in fairness Cardwell and Novakovich have had to play in the U21s).

Full top scorers list:
Cardwell 6
Husin 6
Novakovich 5
Smith 3
Davis 3
Sheppard 3
Barrett 2
Williams 2
Osho 1
Ethelston 1

Assist data is a bit more patchy, but unsurprisingly, Sheppard, Husin and Cardwell dominate (which here means "have two assists").

Pleased for Husin. He looked proper tidy in his cup run cameos last season. We seem particularly strong at producing central midfielders and centrebacks...

Karacan, Pearce, Kuhl, Tshibola, Hector, Cooper, Sweeney, Dickie, Hyam, Husin, Fridge...

With the U21`s cup semi at Blackburn a week today-surely next Tuesday`s game at the Mad Stad against stoke will be called off ??

Probably, but I hope not. We have 45 players aged between 16 and 21 at the club (not including Obita or Cooper). We can play a second string side against Stoke, maybe with a few overage players thrown in, and our strongest side on Thursday.

Ward/Henly; Watson, Hyam, Jules, McLennan; Owusu, Husin, Shaughnessy, Sheppard; Vastsuk, Novakovich
Lincoln; Long, Keown, Sweeney, Griffin; Stacey, Kuhl, Sammi, Fosu; Kelly; Cardwell

If we can stick Hector, Gunter and Karacan in there then it starts to look a bit better. Striker and winger are where we're lacking and we don't have overage players there either...

Edit: apparently Hyam is out on loan at Hemel Hampstead. Although it should mean he gets more game time, it does leave us down to five U21 defenders (plus Obita/Cooper, and not counting Sammi or Owusu). Definitely looks like Tuesday will be called off

U18s look to have clicked together after a tough gelling period to start the season.

First Chelsea defeat since November.

Match report here: http://thechels.net/2015/02/under-18s-chelsea-1-2-reading/

Sounds like Nova is doing good things.
