It`s hard to get my head around how we let this happen?, it`s no big deal I know because it`s unlikely we would have beaten an Arsenal side that dicked us 6-2 just last weekend.
But you would have thought the club would have been aware of the competition rules?

Obvs just an oversight

The weird rule about it only being in the cup was prob the issue

That side we just put out against Arsenal in the 6-2 was very different to the CU side

B Team vs B Team so of little relevance.

Yet another defeat today, seems like it`s all gone tits up since Lee Herron jumped ship. serious chance we could miss out on the play-offs

How hands on was Herron out of interest?

Was presuming MarshAll manages the football side. Let’s hppe he can turn it round. Presuming we were a little under strength with the squad in Spain and Barrett out on loan

Easy mistake to make, given Lee Herron was our academy manager...

Looks like Tennai Watson only lasted 8 minutes.

Anyone have any further info?

seen nothing on Watson.

Any idea who this Sam Bailey chap is who has joined the academy from Derby? Can't see a reference to a role etc

edit: seems to be someone on the media side rather than the football side

https://www.3aaa.co.uk/news/3aaa-appren ... am-bailey/

See last few paragraphs. Appears to be someone who took up an apprenticeship in the football industry with Derby on the media side so presumably has joined Reading to do what he did at Derby on the junior sides and will be writing the copy for the os etc.

For the record great way for youngsters to get into the football world if not good enough to play, wonder if Reading are part of that scheme.

under 23s beat WBA 2-0 tonight.

Loader scored and Harriot played on return from injury.

Good result and back on track hopefully

Interesting to see Harriott and Mendes, though be surprised if the play much role for the first 11 this season. More options though

Yep. clearly part of a managed comeback. We may see them in the 1st team squad towards the end of the season if we are safe but wouldn't surprise me if this just seen as part of a long pre-season for them.

yep fair enough. Especially with Harriott, see him as more as one who may come into play again next year. Think Mendes is ooc at the end of the season, which may change things a little there

Depends on which division we are in, if we go down then he may end up being more important in L1, so could be offered a new deal.

Another couple of goals for Novakovich in Holland. 16 for the season now.
