maffff I'm pretty sure it's something the FA recommend for all transfers under 10m. Hides our true negotiating position anyway, if not a little frustrating anyway.

moo Hammond has a record of getting good prices, so the first part of this is laughable.
I would assume he thanked the opposition chairman for not 'tapping up' the player etc. It's being professional.

PieEater Surely the idea of not disclosing is so that when we come to buy a striker that club can't say, of course he's worth £10m you've just got £20m for Kebe so you can afford it.
