Both clear yellows for Pog.

Clear red for Ulloa.

Brighton edging it before and after the red cards. Reading offering NOTHING.

Reading in desperate need of striker etc etc

Still hoping Pog will come good.

Terminal Boardom Just seen the replay. Pog's second yellow was a joke. Andrews was holding him back.

How did that make him tumble over then?

Maybe, but he went to ground in manner that makes Ashley Young look like Peter O'fecking Toole.

Terminal Boardom A yellow for diving? Topical considering what happened at OT yesterday. Thing is, if players are stupid enough to give the referee no option, who else can be blamed than the players? Not the greatest footballing exhibition I have seen in my life. At st with 10 v 10 there will be more space and the players will tire quicker. The last 20 minutes could be very entertaining.

Guthrie and Karacan look good. Pearce struggled before the red card. And hopefully no more hoofball to Le Fondre up front. Get the ball into his feet.

Don't think Pog's second was a yellow. Andrews had his arm and was pulling him back, he went down but not a dive in the sense that he was trying to get a free kick out of nothing.

Ulloa's red was thoroughly deserved in my opinion. Pearce didn't really 'stoop' to it, it was a slight nod to head the ball and he got his face clipped with a boot.

Ref's been keen with the Yellows.

When you're already on a yellow, the last thing you do is fall to the floor just to "accentuate" the point that a player was trying to pull you back - you stay on your feet at least. Not that he'll be letting the side down that much, I expect we'll have more shots second half than we had first half.

Maybe Brighton also having 10 players might have more than a little bearing on that.

No sympathy at all for Pogrebnyak. Nowhere near the ball on the first challenge and I have no idea why he's gone down in the second. JR saying he's gone down to 'accentuate the shirt tug'...why does he have to go down? Clown

Royalee This is without doubt one of the worst refereeing displays I've ever seen. He's already ruined the game, killed any flow it had and applied absolutely no common sense. If you're handing out yellows every time there's a challenge, you set yourself off to send multiple players off - this won't finish 10 v 10.

Strongly disagree. This game has been foul after foul since it started. Drenthe and Pearce are lucky to still be there. I think the ref's doing a very good job in a very difficult game to referee.

There have been 5 fouls apiece in the game according the Sky, yet there have been 7 cards so I don't care whether you agree or not because it's fact. Having refereed games myself, you have to manage a game properly which involves speaking to the players, letting the game flow and only using your cards when you have to otherwise you put yourself in a position where you have to give cards for anything out of consistency. The presenter's spot on when he says the ref's set a tone, he's set a tone whereby the game's being made non-contact. Awful, awful officiating.

I competely agree.

Pogrebnyak - Live by the sneakily-drawn foul, die by the sneakily-drawn foul.

Not sure, but it definitely sums up the quality of this game quite nicely

Not fact, it's opinion. Red was on top of a double yellow and Drenthe was booked for being a twat.
