I'm all in for relentlessly positive and loud. If we want them to give everything out there I think we, as well as the squad, management, mascots, barstaff, toilet cleaners etc, should all go nuts. At the very least it'll confuse them.

No excuses.....so no 'buts' either, that was a good performance and the management staff dealt with the injuries well, tactically.

'played.

There were no excuses and to be fair the lads stepped up last night. And well done to the Management team too.

As far as I am concerned play offs will be a job well done (irrespective of whether we are successful or not - as we all know that the play offs are a lottery) taking into account all the ownership shenanigans.

More again Saturday please.

Yep, he is fully entitled to be smug today. Smugness has to be earned. Just like how I re-read my posts here and sit and nod to myself.

andrew1957 we all know that the play offs are a lottery

:P my favourite of the footballing cliches.

The play-offs are a melting pot of good form meeting the variables of bad fortune in one off games and the fickleness and inconsistency of refereeing and injuries. Ie. Wembley '95, bang in form as we entered them, bad fortune of missing a penalty, inconsistency of refereeing in not sending off McAteer and we had about 9 fit players on the park by the end of play.

If we get into the top 6 and meet with some bad luck divided by 0.25 the probability that someone else will go up instead anyway, then Adkins - as you say - has achieved enough to be given another crack at it, if he chooses to take up that option given the likely fire sale if we don't make it up.

Big budget flops Drenthe and Bridge out missing yet again (good riddance), Guthrie and particularly Williams worryingly unable to play twice in a week.....still won.

Just shows what a difference a bit of confidence makes, from looking decidedly abject and hopeless before the penalty, to driven, positive and determined after it. We'll need to be more like the last 30 mins of the Donny game, rather than the first 60, against Burnley on Saturday otherwise I think we'll get a stuffing.
