tidus_mi2 I think the Welsh just pipped us for most embarrassing pitch invasion! Even if Gareth Bale managed to convince them taking the lead against Andorra isn't the best reason for a pitch invasion.

I'd still say the Reading one was worse. 7th... GTFI :D

leww_rfc Oh what England could do with a Bale or Ramsey.

I am sure we'll cope as we qualify for Euro 2016 with ease while you struggle to beat San Marino or some other such fellow mickey mouse principality.

I was wrong, it was Andorra. You were truly woeful and were saved by your one world class player. If Bale gets injured you wouldn't beat the Isle of Wight.

They would certainly needle the luck to be on their side to win.

Bit like when Gerrard saved England against Andorra back in 2007 then.. a lot of teams will struggle on that rubber pitch.

Surely you're not blaming the pitch.

To be fair to Wales having one world class player is pretty good for a country their size that has no domestic football above park standard. It's also one more world class player than England have currently.
And Aaron Ramsey is pretty decent as well.....

Hope Akpan gets a Nigeria call up. Good for him, but big blow for England.

From the BBC:

Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain & BBC Wales pundit
Wales 2-1 Cyprus

"Wales are battling well and if anything they have been a bit more dangerous than Cyprus, despite being down to 10 men.
"Hal Robson-Kanu has given everything today. What an intelligent player. He has had a tremendous game tonight."

Thought it was quite good that 3 Reading academy players were involved in that Wales match, admittedly one of them being Simon Church, but still. And Gylfi destroying the Dutch

HRK gave everything last night, great performance, the only reason he was withdrawn was because he would've probably passed out from exhaustion. Great composure with the finish from a sublime Bale flick.

Jake Taylor with his first cap, not really enough time to show much but won a couple of free kicks to help tick the clock down towards the end.

Gunter was probably one of our better players on Friday (vs Bosnia) but last night against Cyprus didn't perform as well, spent a bit too much time on the ball trying to do a bit too much instead of getting rid of it, other than that, good work rate and decent link up play with HRK on the right.

I thought that this was worth posting for posterity.....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29602409

HAL ROBSON-KANU (RIGHT MIDFIELD) 8
Excelled in a couple of positions, whether that was out wide or as a central attacker, and took his goal smartly.

GARETH BALE (ATTACKING MIDFIELD) 7
Subjected to brutal treatment from Cyprus but battled on regardless and went close with a couple of efforts.

:D

HRK is criminally underrated by many on here.
