Pepe the Horseman Or was that against us?

I do remember he won us a penalty in one game. No recollection of who against or the score.

The 1-1 draw against Yeovil when they had a stupid number of players sent off and it should have been more.

My bad - only looked at the most recent page (schoolboy error).

I assumed someone was trying to recollect the time Drenthe won us a penalty, as I thoughtlessly made the link between the question and the person who the topic was about

We didn't win a penalty while he was on the field so... you probably don't.

Other way around. Sheff Weds won a pen when Pearce fouled Afobe and got sent us when he played against us!

Re Greg Halford: I'm pretty sure we sold hum on for the same or slightly more money than we paid for him. For that reason alone he can't be considered to be one of our worst signings.

I nominate Les Ferdinand as one of our worst signings

1 goal in 12 is comparable with drenthe's 2 in 23.

I also believe his impact off the field was similar to drenthe's

Let's see.

"Listen here Royston, we can't afford to keep you and I guess you don't really want to be here but we are stuck with each other until an offer comes in - you won't get that unless we put you in the shop window and you do a good job for us - how about it?"

or

"F/ck off Royston, we can't afford you so we will be sticking you in training with U21's, not giving you a squad number and paying you a vast amount to sit at home on match day and contribute bugger all."

Hmmm.

Perhaps he has an appearance related contract rather than a performance related one?

In terms of benching players, I still feel bad about the way Salako being dropped and told he wouldn't be selected again unless he signed an agreement to sign away the clause in his contract that would give him a year extension if he made so many appearances.

Royston off to Dubai according to Dellor. Hurray!

Shame we couldn't get him to play to his potential rather than him waste his talent, but this is good news for the club.
