I don't rate him at all either - BUT - it has to be said when he went off against both Wolves and Leeds, replaced by Guthrie, our midfield DID fall apart to a greater or lesser degree.

Frankly he's currently miles better than Guthrie, but when Karacan, Williams and McCleary are fit, Akpan, (never mind Guthrie), will rarely even get a bench slot.

Ridiculous decision not to start Cox IMO - at least he tries to win the ball and will hassle people, as well as being able to score - we look too lightweight for me I'm afraid (cue us winning 6-0 or something now)

Didn't see Leeds so can't comment, but Wolves changed the way they played the game after half time, getting rid much quicker rather than taking the time for nice passes. I don't think Akpan being on the field would've made a difference.

Full agreement on Cox. He's providing the role we've missed without Noel Hunt in the team, but has a bit more quality and a few more goals in him.
