It would be nice to get another to cancel out one of those 0-3's...

That Bournemouth result isn't looking so shocking now... 7-0 up away from home! Wigan picking up a good result too.

Birmingham are dire and had a man sent off on 7 minutes though. But agree, losing to Bournemouth at away isn't a terrible result.

Man of match?

For me its Mackie, even though he did miss an open goal he has been the difference today. Put in a real shift

Good running from Blackman to win that penalty. Defender should have seen that coming a mile off. Sent the keeper the wrong way, but I don't like those. If the keeper isn't fooled it's a piece of piss to save.

Be interested to hear the BFTG view, but that looked like our worst performance of the season to me. Funny how it goes.

Who cares. 3 goals, and clean sheet. It's not like we were going to come out and completely smash a team with our confidence as low as it is, even if it is the basement club. Today will help.

Oh absolutely. That team needed a clean sheet and a win far more than it needed a performance. Or rather it needed to not gift goals. And if it can get another win or another clean sheet next up then things should improve nicely with the performances returning.

But when Miller hit the post, that was a moment of suicidal defending that should have got punished. So there's no guarantee we won't return to form against a team that isn't diabolical.

EDIT: LOL @ their keeper.

Had the keeper saved it, the kick should have been retaken. The keeper had moved a good two yards forward off his line before Blackman's foot got anywhere near striking the ball. Mind you, both the assistant covering that end and the ref had been utter shyte during the game so very much doubt that they would have done the right thing.

When did Miller hit the post?

Can't recall that but I do remember Feds making an absolutely brilliant last ditch save, which the useless ref failed to spot. It's tough being a keeper when that happens, you have to play along and pretend you didn't touch the ball rather than enjoying the thoroughly deserved plaudits!

It's that moment you mention. I can't recall if it came off the post and hit Fed then went out, or if Fed got something on it for it to hit the post then go out. It should have been a certain goal that's for damn sure.

Ian Royal - think you are right. Worst home performance. Can't remember us stringing three passes together. Lot of long balls into the channels, especially from Gunter and Feds kicking was poor. Felt a bit like watching a Brian team. Crap game but decent result with little or no quality on show (though McCleary would have had a field day had he been fit today)
