Rotherham's win over Millwall today puts all of the bottom 3 in the shit even more but if anyone fancies their chances of getting out it will be Wigan. As long as were not in 21st place or below before the matches on the final day I think we'll be safe.

Otherwise, a defeat at a promotion winning Derby side could send us down with Millwall and Blackpool...

Millwall and Wigan remaining games, taking into consideration they need to win 3 and 4 games more than us just to draw level.

Millwall ..... .... Wigan
Middlesbrough A .... Norwich A
Norwich H.... Leeds H
Bolton A.... Rotherham A
Brighton H.... Watford H
Brentford A.... Bolton H
Charlton H.... Middlebrough A
Blackburn A .... Derby H
Watford H.... Fulham A
Wigan H.... Millwall A
Cardiff A.... Brighton H
Derby H.... Wolves H
Wolves A.... Brentford A

Both teams have plenty of games against top eaight teams. also some winnable games too, I would say 12 games to get 10 points. surely even we can do that?

This -

I'd question if Millwall have 3 wins left in them this season to even get to our current total - if they lose at Rotherham on Sat they're done for.

I think you're saying "we're too good to go down", based on the premise that there are 3 teams worse than us?

If so, sorry chap, you are somnewhat deluded. I would wager there are several teams each season thoughout the League who say the same thing and end up relegated!

Make no mistake, we are in a relegation battle.

How can we be in a relagation battle when 9 points clear with 12 games to go when the three sides in the bottom three are in poor form? people on here now going on about Wigan because they beat Blackpool....check their form this year....

They're probably not 9 points clear with 4 teams between them and relegation and only 12 games left though.

We're hovering just above a relegation battle.

1. We are inconsistent but should be able to find 9 more points from the remaining games which I think will see us safe.
2. We are 9 points above the bottom three, it will take not only our continued collapse but also quite some turn around in from someone in the bottom 3 to take 9 points more than us from the games left
3. Not only that but there are teams all around us who are mired into inconsistent form so even if someone in the bottom 3 did manage a burst of form it doesn't necessarily follow we'd be the ones to suffer
4. In before the merge

Seems unlikely at moment but its sometimes hard to get out off a bad run especially if we get knocked out next week and lose at Bolton

I'd say on yesterday's performance and our performances against Leeds and Wigan we're quite capable of finishing the season with no more points than we have now.

We will get more than 12 points from that.

I was being pessimistic and came out on 13

Well that's alright then, because we all know you're history of predicting results is excellent.

Out of interest, how many points did you predict for our last three home games? I would've gone 7.
