Still need striker imo but I'm really please with this and travner.
Adressed key deficiencies in the squad with decent players that improve the 1st team.

Am open to being shot down here, but this is a great signing. He could be the key that unlocks everything this season! Bit like Ledge when he signed (everyone was shouting "striker, striker, need a f***ing striker", then Ledge signed and Long started banging in the goals!)

If he can help provide some solidity to our defence/midfield, help our midfield to get a hold in games, win us a few more turnovers or just provide the first pass in getting attacking moves underway, then why shouldn't a defensive midfielder be the solution to our goal scoring 'problems'?

He really could be a catalyst for positive change at our club this season.

For every Ronaldo, Bale etc you need an Alonso or a Khedira.

Interested to hear the thoughts of those at the game, as it sounded like he did the exact opposite!

On the whole a good debut. Looked a yard off the pace on occasions. Though match fitness will come in time.

He looked very ordinary, game littered with errors. Didn't really do anything to make you think he will change our season.

But he's barely trained with the team, and it's way too early to judge. Hopefully this game will settle him in and with a busy schedule ahead he'll get up to speed quickly.

I thought he was excellent in the second half, but started slowly giving it away a little too often. But he found his feet and played his role very well after half time

One or two good things in the first half, but generally bang average (as were the rest of the side). Grew into the game in the second half and put in a much better performance. To be fair to him though, he joined 48 hours prior to the game and we changed our formation to fit him in. It was an ok debut, but he promises more.

Ordinary's being generous. He barely touched the ball.

Be nice if he plays another 12 + 4 + 3 games this season and we can repeat the stat at 6PM May 30th.

GH Royal Harsh to be suddenly slating Williams.. Was quality for us last season and is only just regaining form after a serious injury. Shows a lot of passion aswell, something that has been missing while he was out injured.

M Brook
Gilksy
Pepe the Horseman Could Guthrie be off? Another high earner no doubt.

Fingers crossed. Very over-rated and a high earner. I don't think we'd miss him. He's too inconsistant and injury prone.

Corrected for you.

Agree with these. Would much rather keep Williams than Guthrie, and have Chalobah replace him permanently although this is pretty unlikely.

I think Chalobah is a good signing, a player who has shown good potential on loan in the past, maybe didnt see enough of him in his most recent spell at Burnley but he should help us out, him and Norwood seems a pretty good partnership potentially. Overall, we do have a decent midfield for this level but not sure they are as good as some think. It doesnt help that we never see them fully fit and in form either.

Still really hoping we sign a striker at least on loan before the end of the month because we are simply too short of adeaqute options upfront.
