10 years ago we would have taken 6000 to Villa. That's not a plum draw for us any more.

If Bournemouth go up, they won't be taking that many to a cup game at Villa in 5 years time.

Not sure if that was intended to be a pop at our support. I thought it was pretty decent seeing as we're in the same division, there's no point comparing it to prem/championship prem/league1 attendances.

I don't think it was a pop.

I think he's saying that for us a few years back (pre-promotion), getting Villa away would have been a highlight fixtures. Like the time we got Arsenal away and took a big amount.

If we got Villa now away, or Arsenal away, yea it's a decent fixture, but it wouldn't be viewed the same way as before.
