Exactly. After no more than 5 games we've had pronouncements on here that (1) our defence is 100% solid, (2) we have no strikers worth the name, (3) Blackman's turned a corner, (4) Bond and Al Habsi are virtually disabled and (5) Cox can't control a ball for sh1t (actually, that was me). So why not a p1ssy little vote on who is the best player?

Ferdinand has been a complete revelation. Played every minute of every game so far I think. Pretty much faultless. Always in the right place at the right time. Makes it look so easy. Time after time.

Norwood looked every bit the player we thought he was when he first arrived.

McShane and Quinn look like class. So Ferdinand it is for me so far.

Definitely a toss up between McShane, Ferdinand and Norwood, but I've gone for McShane because we haven't even played a month of football yet so I didn't really give it much thought.

... Danny Williams, Aaron Tshibola and Nick Blackman. Even Orlando Sa has shown some good skills (except in the penalty-taking department, obvs ). It's too early in the season to name one single "best" player, but it's encouraging that we have so many good choices at this stage.
