BFTG: Wolves away

by sloughroyal123 » 26 Dec 2015 19:51

Sat in the car, that was awful lack of attacking creativity and poor defending cost us massively.

Bond: 4 needs to come out to claim crosses, other than that, average

Gunter: 4 Wolves supporters seemed to think he dove, not sure tbh. Constantly passing backwards

Hector: 5 same poor performance we have come to expect

McShane: 6 didn't do much wrong, didn't do much right either

Quinn: 5 defiantly not a left back, needs to be put back on the middle

Blackman: 5 PASS THE FCUKING BALL

Norwood: 7 Best player apart from Ola John when he came on

Williams: 5 needs to stop shooting when he's of balance

McCleary:6 Pretty average

Vydra: 4 SHOOT THE FCUKING BALL

HRK: 6 Hardworking but no end product

Dove  . Yes, he certainly did try and cheat. Disgusting, and he has previous for it.

Reading are a sideways side, too nice to play against. Midtable obscurity beckons.

Of course he dived... Gunter was truely embarassing... and actually I thought he was better than normal in terms of his confidence. But he let himself down throwing himself down with no contact. D*ck

I'd rather lose than draw or win by diving. Gunter disappointed me as I'm sure "the reading way" is far more classy than that... win/lose we do it by not cheating

Thought I liked MCD but if persists in playing HRK up front that liking will wear off quickly.

Don't see the issue myself... I thought HRK was lively but the rest of the formation and team performance let him down. NOt saying it's perfect but not that bad

Can't disagree with much of that from my telly view. Vydra is pointless in this team, really can't decide whether he's good or really bad but doesn't ever try to hold the ball, plays like a pinball machine. Hector, £4m bargain bye bye. Blackman, greedy so and so, back to previous 3 seasons, useless. Williams, Mr over-run the ball. Thought Norwood, HRK, Ola John and McCleary did well. This team is far too easy to play against, need more physical players and more width.

Personally, I thought we played like we actually wanted something from the game, unlike the previous 2 months when we rolled over and showed our bellies after 5 minutes play.
We lost but at least played with some desire if not imagination, and think we will come good soon.

PS Gunter........No! Don't dive. You played well and don't need to do that.

Gunter dived, but had a good game other than that. Quinn made two last ditch tackles. 7 each.

McCleary had a good game. Looked pretty strong. HRK and Blackman both played well. Norwood our best player.

We were by far the better team and should've won. Hector and Bond 6. Everyone else 7. Norwood 8.

How did you see the game if you sat in your car? Or do you mean you are sitting in it now? I didn't notice Quinn being a defiant 'not left back'. The rest we shall pass off as typos.

To be honest, the marks are not up to much either.

Were we "by far the better team" though?

Were we better up front than them?-no
Were we better at the back than them?no
Were we better in midfield than them?-yes By my reckoning that makes them the better team.

Gunter wtf?
He had a chance of scoring but chose to dive-says it all about the character of the man.
How long do people think it will take Brian to change the wingers to what are probably their better sides?
Cast-off Henry looked better than both of ours and Blackman's attempt to mark him at that corner was pathetic.

Unless you think Chris Gunter is Leo Messi, how the fcuk did he have a chance of scoring?

The usual bunch of oddly negative comments.

Gunter had a shove in the back. Bit soft going down but if it had been Hector doing the shoving at the other end and a pen given you'd all have been saying "he's a liability, get rid..." (Again.)

We played some very decent football at times and were unfortunate not to get at least a point.

Everyone looked comfortable on the ball and confident in each other. Wolves packed the defence when under pressure and we didn't quite have the imagination to unlock them.

We move on with plenty to build on.

need a proven goal scorer in jan sales.
Get rid of all the try converters we have, or teach them to keep the shots down at chest level-

Had enough chances, didn't take them.....Seeing Longy play so well for Saints tonight just adds to the frustration (yes I know he left ages ago!) .

Same old Reading gifting 3 points to shit teams who are on a shit run.

Was a harsh result, but don't let that fool you into thinking we deserved to win.

It's a game of fine margins and if McCleary or Vydra put away the chances early on, we win. We conceded what looked a soft free kick but as usual we cannot defend. Wolves then sat back and got numbers behind the well and fair play to them, they defended resolutely, but we were so toothless. We never really look like scoring. Same old problems.

That being said I felt the overall performance was an improvement but it's hard to gauge as it was attack v defense and we were allowed to play for the most part.

Lost my patience with Vydra. He's a oxf*rd striker so why he never shoots is beyond me. Layoff after layoff after layoff.

McD had a mare but let's just blame it on him being rusty. If Taylor was fit enough to play why didn't he start? Why start with the same team against Blackburn instead of the one which started the second half?

HRK isn't a striker and he's had his time to shine, and even though he didn't play badly, doesn't do nearly enough to start up front. Blackman too selfish. Williams - headless chicken and a touch of a rapist.

Poor result against a poor side. Anything less than maximum points from our next two games will be a massive disappointment.
