You need to check your memory !
Gillan was one of several people linked around the proposed merger time.
After Smee had gone bankrupt there was only one person in line to save the club....

Indeed. Gillan was apparently interested in the financially struggling RFC before Fat Bob came in with the TVR plan which was ultimately defeated by Smee/Tranter.

I stand corrected - old age strikes.

Anyway, here is an interesting video:

I struggle to remember who we played last week, although stuff that happened 30 years ago seems to be clearer in the memory.
Apparently it's something that is common among the residents here at the Madejski Home for the Terminally Confused......

Finally a reasonable comment in a sea of mediocrity.

He told Maguire to fook off at Elm Park once I think.

Or am I thinking of Ian Botham.

He trained with us in 1994.

He surprised the lads in the dressing room by shaving off his moustache, only to reveal a tattoo of a moustache.

He told me to "piss off" but it wasn't at Elm Park.

Actually I read an article about him a few months ago where the author pulls him up on the "rumours you used to enjoy telling young children to f-off" and he denied it. Smug, lying bastard. I do feel better that it wasn't just me though.

Mike Williams a sports reporter on BBC Radio has said on air before he is a Reading fan - covers for Vassos Alexander on R2 Breakfast so assume he's from 5Live.

Has Kate ever owned a replica shirt? (hoops would accentuate her 'curves')

Tarrant has definitely been spotted in a replica shirt
