Tight old Reading

by Royal_jimmy » 09 Jan 2016 20:16

So Bournemouth are going to sign Afobe for £10m.

Why can't Reading pay proper money that players are worth and Bournemouth are an even smaller club than we are. If Bournemouth can find money to buy players then why can't we?

In the prem we wouldn't even pay £5m for a decent player.

Why are we so tight in investing on the right player?

Because we're not getting £60m of TV money this year?

I'm referring to when we were a premier league club.

Because the first time we spent it on wages, yes we made a profit both seasons buy not much in the scheme of things. The second time we had a dodgy Russian looking after the money

How do you know that they are rich though? I doubt they're any richer than Madejski was in his prime.

Bournemouth spend extortionate amount of money on a player, and Reading get stick for it.

Nice one

It's the reading way.

Business idea - set up tin foil hat shop outside the megastore -> retire to the Bahamas at the end of the season.
