He actually looks like a very handy little player. Just look at his movement off the ball as he drops off defenders. He looks like a bit of a nightmare to play against as he seems to fill those holes between players making them unsure as to who is marking him. That's a bit of an old Curo trick. Alan Shearer also had that knack. He also appears to have quite some pace - similar to Vydra in a way. He can really turn on the turbo when play switches from defence to attack.
For a 500k Euro player he's well worth a try.

So all this talk (which is also cheap) of play-off places and a 2yr plan to get promoted is going to be achieved how exactly ?

Sutekh I cannot believe that we would have pulled the plug on a deal for a player the manager wanted to sign a player the owner(s) wants instead.

If this was the case then Brian has to be on board and backing the decision otherwise he might as well leave the club now.

Perhaps there's more to the Washington thing e.g. unreasonable agent demands that caused Reading to rethink.

For the record what are the Thais ties to Poland. There must be some for them to want to go back there again (or perhaps JM saw the cheap option again and persuaded them otherwise).

If there's one thing we know about Brian, it's that he's not going to walk. He'll take shafting after shafting without resigning. Anton. Leeds. Back to Leeds for another go.

Whoever comes in has to be given the chance to prove themselves, good luck to him if it happens.

By spending within our means, smartly, and using a manager with a reputation for building sides with a strong team ethic who are better than the sum of their parts.

It's not like we haven't done it twice before. The only time we abandoned it, we nearly went into administration and were close to relegation back to the third tier.

Charles Watts Reports in Poland suggest Deniss Rakels’ move to Reading will be completed within a few days.

Polish media claim the 23-year-old striker will arrive from Cracovia Kraków after Royals agreed to match his release clause of fee of around €500,000.

Rakels is still in Poland and trained with Cracovia on Wednesday - but reports from Eastern Europe state he will soon make the journey across to England to seal his switch to Madejski Stadium.

The frontman has been in fine goalscoring form this season - finding the net 15 times in 20 games, including 14 in his last 15 appearances.

He is said to have been attracting interest from two Bundesliga sides, as well as Belgian giants Club Brugge - but Royals are believed to have won the race for his signature.

Really hope in 3 years time he is still our manager - be that in the Prem or the Championship .... don't think any manager would survive relegation from the Champ.

The mind boggles how anyone can criticise the owners for lack of ambition a few months after spending £2.5m on a LOAN

Wiki He [Deniss] has 3 tattoos on his body - the first one is his name, the second one is his mother's name, while the third one is a wish for his parents written in Arabic

I'd love if his past times were flower arranging, working at a dogs centre for damaged puppies and he did pole dancing to keep fit.
