Someone help me out here, when the announcement was made on Facebook there were dozens of abusive comments aimed at Hammond (mainly from teenage 'fans'). As far as I'm concerned Nicky Hammond was a good servant (albeit not the world's greatest keeper) who moved into a position on the board and did exceptionally well at fleecing bigger clubs for our cast offs, and has now moved to a bigger and better paid job. What's not to like about the man?
