Terribly sad news. A top bloke, a great professional and a massive success in his Academy work.

I agree, the naming of the Academy in his honour would be the most respectful way to permanently remember and recognize his amazing contribution to the club.

RIP Eamonn.

TBM Surely the club can do something, maybe in terms of naming something after him - to do with the academy etc

So the debate on what to call the north stand surely ends here...

Very good idea.

So upset and shocked that he died

RIP Eamonn. We should all chant his name in our first league game next season

In for the Eammon Dolan academy

Football has to take a backwards step when tragedies like this happen. I really hope the club listens to the fans and rightly honors this true gentleman with the respect that he deserves. Either the North stand tribute or renaming the academy would be a great gesture by the club.

R.I.P Eamon a true RFC Legend....

Rest in peace Eamonn, thank you everything you did for the club. I am all for renaming the academy after him & chanting his name at our first game of the season. A true gentleman, Reading through & through, you will be missed good sir.

Really sad news, RIP Eamonn. Thanks for everything you've done for the club, but also for coming across as one of the nicest & most genuine hard working people in football. You played a massive part in the most successful era in Reading's history.

Like others I'd hoped he was on the mend and would be back in charge very soon. Shocked by the news. I hope the club take his legacy forward and keep investing in our youth programme.
Naming either Academy or the new training ground after him would be great tributes and ensure generations of young players to come are made aware of who he was.
Deserves a place alongside the Maurice Evans and Ray Tranter blue plaques.
