Elm Park Kid It's a shame that Newcastle is midweek but then it seems like most of our 'interesting' away games fail to be on a Saturday. How many seasons in a row is it now that Leeds away has been put on a Tuesday?

I assume the Villa game will get moved for TV.

Leeds was on Saturday last season.

Not sure if both teams will be down by then, but Burton away could be an interesting relegation dogfight. Especially with Nigel Howe assuming first team duties,

Meh. Not a bad initial schedule. Should allow a good early test for Stam. Getting a few of the tougher opponents out the way early may not be such a bad thing.

Not bad to get Newcastle early in the season before they get used to life in the Championship and they won't have done all their summer transfer dealings by then. Team in flux.

Not happy with having to miss two home games during Feb half term.

Birmingham away on a Tuesday is perfect for me too

Better to play superior teams when the season is young and hope/effort/entheusiasm are at their peak, before a Tuesday trip to the north loses you toes and teams settle into a rhythm.
It'll do.

Really looking forward to the Tuesday night game at Griffin Park. Easy to get to after work and my favorite ground in the league (and away terrace).

Sutekh Opening month

6 Aug Preston North End (h)
13 Aug Wolves (a)
17 Aug Newcastle (a)
20 Aug Brighton (h)
27 Aug Cardiff (a)

Obviously, as yet we have no idea of the team or tactics,
but is there anyone else thinks we might be bottom of the league
at 5PM Aug 27th?

ATM and based on the second half of the season we would lose the three away games
and might early DL the two home games.

I want to be so wrong and we start with 5 wins, but I feel very pessimistic right now.

Looking forward to that too as it's my first visit. Two years ago I missed that game as I was abroad, last year I missed out on getting a ticket due to demand and bad planning

I can't wait for the season to start now - not even for the football itself but just for the days out getting sloshed.

100% in for

QPR
Fulham
Derby
Forest
Ipswich
Norwich
Brentford
Newcastle
Burton

Maybe

Cardiff
Brighton
Wolves

Probably not

Bristol City
Wigan (definitely not)
Blackburn

....

GF's family are all up North near Barnsley. If I can combine visits to them with fixtures including: Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham, Hudders, etc... then that'd be good too.

ALSO: are there any change to away ticket prices this year as I know the premier league have a cap? Just wondering if Derby and QPR are going to charge £35 or something like that

Last season's away at Brentford was SUPERB. Easily one of the best atmospheres over the last couple of seasons away.

Was it as good as the first half away to Fulham?

Hopefully it's the same at Brentford this year
