I'd have taken Grabban back

Given we weren't even in for him on loan we must have some bigger irons in the fire.

BR2 Having seen quite a bit of him over the years I was pleased when we signed him on loan last season.
Unfortunately I feel that he is not the player that he was even if we did use him too often as a winger.
What I didn't like was that when the ball was played up to him it invariably didn't stick and he was rather too easily knocked off the ball.

Talking of Bournemouth players I wonder whether a loan deal till Christmas for Callum Wilson might be on.
With Yann out for some time it could suit us and with Bournemouth now having Afobe, King and Defoe up front the idea of loaning Wilson on a short term basis to get back to full fitness might appeal to them.
A different player to Yann but proven at this level and higher.

Not going to happen ...

Yes RFC were in for him on loan before the Jan window

He looked to me like a player with talent who has lost their passion to achieve. Like someone who is comfortable and coasting having secured a career at very decent wages.

I'm not saying he didn't try, just that there didnt seem to be a determination to win his battles and makes his game count.

Rarely rose above league one standard for us last season and how he was still starting come the play off final beggars belief. He's either, no longer good enough or, no longer cares.

Samuels had more potential than Grabban and letting him go says all you need to know about where the bar has been set.

Whatever Stam's budget may be this summer, I'd be amazed if he's not got several million more than he's spent so far.

We may have to wait until more business is completed in the Prem but, again, I'll be very surprised if we don't sign a striker who is a class above Grabban.

I'm honestly surprised people can say he was anything other than utterly atrocious. A couple of 6/10 performances but by and large barely scraped a 2 most games.

2 in 2 for Grabban. :?

Which means he has 14 games to reach the same goal tally he achieved with us.

SpaghettiHoop Piazon scored yesterday.

First time I've seen him run into our box and not immediately fall over.

No surprise he's scoring in a system that suits him. Stam played him out of position, for me. Grabban is a good player.
