Chris Gunter song courtesy of Wales

"...Wales fans have a new football chant to the tune of Ghostbusters and it is genius...."

For those who like to complain about our band, this is something on a whole new level....

Ah yes, Reading fans knocking a proposed chant. Nothing new there then.

I wonder if other clubs are haunted by people who demand a 'more traditional atmosphere' but have an urge to kill any proposed ideas. It is clear that this one has got the Welsh crown going, so it has evidence of success as a chant; but you lot think it is naff. Oh well...

Quite like it. A simple chant is better than nothing and it's ready made. We shouldn't be so worried about "is it cool" and what others think about us.

I sometimes think you have to be brave to suggest anything on this forum. It's too easy just to shoot everything down.

Surely you could just do the 'do-do-do-do-do-' bit and then shout 'Chris Gunter!' instead of writing a lame song about it?

Or you could compare him unfavourably to a previous right back.

Yeah awesome. So you need a brass band to play for 30 seconds before you half heartedly shout the name of someone mediocre.

Can't see it catching on.

Sorry, would you rather people just went into raptures over it when in truth it is just unremarkable.
It's nothing to do with being 'cool' !
Even in the video it seems to be a bunch of iffy musicians being ignored by the rest of the crowd who don't join in.

But feel free to give it ago against Ipswich.

I feel about this chant the way that Brighton fans feel about Reading.

To be fair, the "Barry Horns" wanted something that would work well for a brass section. The Ghostbusters theme is very brass oriented, popular, and catchy. It works well for them, but it'll never do for Reading fans.
