bobby m's syrup Only 4 goals in the entire Championship this afternoon. :-0

Does that include Barnsley's second at Brentford?

And it's funny as it's the same figure as the number of shots Reading have had on target in the last 3 games.

Swift hits the bar. Millers have substituted midfielder Forde for forward Blackstock

How it is that a professional footballer is unable to make his mind up before he runs up to take a pen that he's going to kick the ball into the top left or top right where a keeper can't save it, and then fcuking do it, is beyond me.

All these useless scuffed penalties rolled one way or the other do my head in.

(Get in there McShane.)

genome Why?

Good question. Presume Tim will put that to Jaap after the game. Possible reason suggested was a lack of height between Berg and Moore as Ward and Blackstock were causing huge problems for the defence.

Clearer now

From the BBC text it looks like it's all Rotherham now. Backs to the wall?

That dominant display against bottom of the table Rotherham should put some confidence in the team.

Or maybe not.

I'm pleased with the win. We have been losing at teams like that the last few seasons. And you never know we might put a small run together that gives us a chance for the playoffs.

Didn't concede in the first half so it was always likely to be a decent result. Lolz at the passing and possession moaners.

Result is what matters, not who had the better possession to shot on target ration in the first half.

That's six wins, 5 draws and 4 losses for Stam now I think. Plenty good enough. Performances not there yet, but as long as we keep ticking over nicely and stay in the top 14 it's mission accomplished. Still in the 'it will be difficult to make' top 10.

Maintain that and it doesn't take much of a run at the end of the season to sneak into 6th. Not that I think that would benefit us longer term.

Remember, when Rotherham were really struggling and we went up there and lost in 14/15?

Well, we won today.
