I've finally seen us win in Rotherham!! Played well....but can we please have a striker who looks like scoring up front.....if only we had a young academy striker who we could give a run in the team.....

Apropos nothing at all - Gunter picks up his 5th booking and so is banned for 1 game. Already had Williams notching 5 yellows (in a 9 game spell) and served a 1 match ban. 3 reds also meaning bans (2 x 3 games and 1 x 1).

Swift, Kermorgant and van den Red Card already on 4 yellows.

A total of 37 yellows and 3 reds in 17 games.

Didn't realise we were such thugs on the pitch.

Royalwaster That dominant display against bottom of the table Rotherham should put some confidence in the team.

Or maybe not.

Remember, when Rotherham were really struggling and we went up there and lost in 14/15?

Well, we won today.

Am I right in remembering Top Flight predicting Warnock would take Rotherham into the top six this season and we'd be in a relegation fight?

Lolz.

Not really sure what your point is here Ian....had a couple of sherries?

Had Colin stuck around...he just might've done tbf

This season (for us) has a long way to go, but a relegation dogfight (admittedly) looks unlikely.

Rovrum were pretty obvious relegation fodder IMO and I said at the time Warnock was never likely to want to stick another season there and do well enough to not get the shove if he did.

But what do I know.

Actually think cards are up across the board given the "new" directives to referees over the summer. Anyone got stats to prove this or whether it is just Reading.

I would expect Reading to be worse disciplinary wise this season than last as they seem to care more.

And Gunter timed it perfectly so he misses the Arsenal game which he probably wouldn't have played in anyway.

The clue is in the title of the thread. And one of the posts you've quoted.

I do actually, we have the worst discipline in the division IF you only count cards given for fouls

In terms of mouthing off the ref etc for which punishment has increased this season, we are 16th in the number of cards not related to fouls
