Hats off to Brighton tbh....showed some spirit and fight, which is what we're all going to need. So, so close between the top teams. Fun times ahead.

There's something a bit McDermott 11/12 about them. They just keep digging deep and getting those necessary late goals to turn defeats into draws and draws into wins.

other positive is that they dropped two points towards the 106. I think Newcastle are the danger there now (?)

Max points achievable for Newcastle is 113, Brighton 112

Don't think it will be even close, that would require a ridiculous winning run.

We need to win our next 2 games though, considering our following 2 games are away to Huddersfield then Brighton, who have the strongest 2 home records in the league right now.

Newcastle still have to play Brighton too so that will help reducing the chances of our 106 being overtaken!

To beat the 106:
Newcastle need 15 wins & could afford 2 defeats;
Brighton need 15 wins & a draw & could afford 1 defeat.

Victor Meldrew
tidus_mi2 I suppose the draw means they gain no extra ground on us at least.

I blame you and the other f*****g gloating idiots for this result.
Please save the gloating until AFTER the match in future.
Unfortunatelty there is something about this Brighton side this season-by the end of it they could even really be the top side in the south with both Saints and Bournemouth sinking like a stone and in real danger of being dragged into a relegation scrap..

You Obvs haven't seen Bognor playing this year m8.
Up the rocks

Our record taking the lead is almost (not quite) flawless. But our record at going behind is actually relatively poor. At least it was awful last time I checked, we've had a couple of better efforts more recently.

Yeah Bristol was the first time we've come from behind to win in the leage for years.

It's encouraging that we are still picking up points when not playing well though.

Imagine what it will be like when we do play well.

Royal_jimmy I hope Brighton and Huddersfield draw tomorrow but then Huddersfield beat Leeds whilst we beat Ipswich. I think Brighton will win at Brentford then hopefully Newcastle will be held by Derby or Derby win up there. Say Derby nab a draw. Wigan wont be easy for Wednesday either, a draw for them would be great for us.

Then that'll make the top 7 as follows if it was to happen.

1) Brighton (P29) - 64
2) Newcastle (P29) - 60
3) Reading (P30) - 58
4) Leeds (P30) - 54
5) Huddersfield (P29) - 53
6) Derby (P29) - 47
7) Sheffield Weds (P29) - 47

Newcastle and Brighton's game in hand is v each other so hopefully a draw if not a Brighton win in that!

In the nicest possible way, I am never ever going to listen to one of your predictions!

If they win their game in hand the gap will be 8 points though. 4 out of their next 5 games are at home with Reading and Newcastle to play at the end of this month.

Brighton's remaining game in hand is against Newcastle though, so at least one team will drop points. Considering we have to play both teams as well, it's certainly not impossible that we'll threaten the top two.

I don't think we will, but it's possible.
